The 1993–94 Dallas Stars season was the team's first season in Dallas. They finished third in the Central Division with a record of 42 wins, 29 losses, and 13 ties for 97 points. They swept the St. Louis Blues in the Conference Quarter-finals before losing the Conference Semi-finals in five games to the Vancouver Canucks. Western Conference (NHL)
The Western Conference (french: Conférence de l'Ouest) is one of two conferences in the National Hockey League (NHL) used to divide teams. Its counterpart is the Eastern Conference. History Originally named the Clarence Campbell Conference (or Campbell Conference for short), it was created in 1974 when the NHL realigned its teams into two conferences and four divisions. Because the new conferences and divisions had little to do with North American geography, geographical references were removed. The conferences and divisions were re-aligned in 1981 to better reflect the geographical locations of the teams, but the existing names were retained with the Campbell Conference becoming the conference for the NHL's westernmost teams. Jacques Joubert
Jacques Joubert (born March 23, 1971) is an American former professional ice hockey center who was an All-American for Boston University. Career Joubert's college career began at Princeton University in 1990. The year turned out poorly for him as he scored just 2 goals in 13 games and left the program in the middle of the year and return to juniors. After sitting out the following year, per NCAA transfer rules, Joubert made his debut for Boston University and was far more productive, notching 35 points and making himself enough of a commodity for the Dallas Stars to select him in the NHL Supplemental Draft. Joubert continued his upward trend as a junior, finishing second on the Terriers in scoring and earned a spot on the second All-American team. Per Svartvadet
Per Eric Svartvadet (born May 17, 1975) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player. Svartvadet was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft in the 6th round, as the 139th pick overall. In the summer of 1999 he was traded to the Atlanta Thrashers. He made his debut for the Thrashers in the 1999–2000 season, and also spent time with the Orlando Solar Bears that season. He spent four seasons in North America, before returning home to his native Sweden to play for Modo Hockey in 2003. The team won the Swedish championship in 2007, and this season Svartvadet was also given the Guldpucken Guldpucken (''The Golden Puck'') is awarded annually to the ice hockey player of the year in Sweden. Richard Donald Mrozik (born January 2, 1975) is an American former professional ice hockey player who played two games in the National Hockey League for the Calgary Flames in 2002–03. Mrozik was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the 6th round, 136th overall, in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. He retired following the 2004–05 season after spending eight years in the minor leagues. Cloquet High School
Cloquet High School (CHS) is a high school in Cloquet in the U.S. state of Minnesota. Operated by Cloquet Public Schools, it serves approximately 700 students; a typical graduating class has 160 to 200 members. It has existed for over 100 years. The current building was built in 1969, with the old building then being turned into a middle school. That building was built in 1921 replacing an earlier school destroyed, along with much of the town, in the 1918 Cloquet fire. It serves almost all of Cloquet and all of Scanlon. Academics Curriculum requirements for the four core areas are as follows: three-and-a-half years of mathematics, four years of English, four years of social studies (including geography, world events, economics, US government, world and US history courses), and three years of science. Jamie Craig Langenbrunner (; born July 24, 1975) is an American former professional ice hockey player. Langenbrunner was formerly the captain of the 2010 United States Olympic Team, a member of the 1999 Dallas Stars' Stanley Cup championship team and the 2003 New Jersey Devils' Stanley Cup championship team. Plymouth Whalers
The Plymouth Whalers were a major junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League. They played out of Compuware Arena in Plymouth, Michigan, USA, a suburb of Detroit until 2015 when they were relocated to Flint, Michigan. History The Whalers can trace their roots back to the 1990–91 Detroit Compuware Ambassadors as an expansion team in the OHL. Since then the franchise has also been called the Detroit Junior Red Wings and the Detroit Whalers. Todd Douglas Ross Harvey (born February 17, 1975) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward and current director of amateur scouting for the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL). During his playing career, he played for the Dallas Stars, New York Rangers, San Jose Sharks, and Edmonton Oilers.
