Audie James Norris (born December 18, 1960) is an American retired professional basketball player and coach. Norris played for the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers, from 1982 to 1985. His former teammate Mychal Thompson, who is the father of Klay Thompson, gave him the nickname "The Atomic Dog", because of his brutal in-game dunks. After retiring from playing professional basketball in 1994, Norris has spent his time coaching and developing the skills of young student athletes. Duško Ivanović (born September 1, 1957) is a Montenegrin professional basketball coach and former player who currently serves as head coach for Crvena zvezda of the Adriatic League and the EuroLeague. Professional playing career As a player, Ivanović started his career with Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje. He played with Budućnost, Jugoplastika, Valvi Girona, Limoges CSP, and Fribourg Olympic. Zvi Sherf ( he, צבי שרף; born December 18, 1951 in Tel Aviv, Israel), known almost universally by his nickname Zvika ( he, צביקה), is an Israeli former basketball player and professional basketball coach. Coaching career Sherf played basketball with the Maccabi Tel Aviv youth teams, starting at age 12. By age 16, Sherf was playing for Maccabi South Tel Aviv (the club's second side), and was sent to a coaching course, along with fellow future Israeli basketball coach Pini Gershon. Eliezer Gordon ( he, אליעזר גוֹרְדוֹן; 1841–1910) also known as Reb Laizer Telzer (), served as the rabbi and ''rosh yeshiva'' of Telz, Lithuania. Early years Eliezer Gordon was born in 1841 in the village of Chernyany (or Čarniany), Belarus, near Vilna. His father, Avrohom Shmuel Gordon, was a student of Chaim of Volozhin. As a youngster, he studied in the Zaretza Yeshiva in Vilna, later transferring to the Yeshiva of Yisroel Salanter at the Kovno kollel yeshiva in Kovno. Concurrent outstanding fellow students included Yitzchak Blazer, Simcha Zissel Ziv, Naftali Amsterdam, Yerucham Perlman and Jacob Joseph. Salanter realized that Gordon had great potential and appointed him as a maggid shiur in the yeshiva at a young age. Willie Sims ( he, וילי סימס; June 16, 1958 – December 23, 2022) was an American-Israeli professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the LSU Tigers and professionally for a number of Israeli Basketball Premier League clubs. Early life Sims was born in Lanett, Alabama and grew up in New York City, New York. He was Jewish, and was predominantly raised by his grandmother who was a convert to Judaism following her marriage to Sims' grandfather, Jack Miller. Sims played high school basketball at Long Island City High School and college basketball at Louisiana State University from 1977 until 1981. As a high school senior, he averaged 37.6 points, 30.1 rebounds, and 12 blocked shots per game, and was named a ''Parade'' All-American.
