1958 World Figure Skating Championships
The World Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union in which figure skaters compete for the title of World Champion. The 1958 competitions for men, ladies, pair skating, and ice dancing took place from February 13 to 15 in Paris, France. Paris

Donald Jackson (figure Skater)
Donald George Jackson, (born April 2, 1940) is a Canadian retired figure skater. He is the 1962 World Champion, four-time Canadian national champion, and 1960 Olympic bronze medallist. At the 1962 World Figure Skating Championships in Prague, Czechoslovakia, he landed the first triple Lutz jump in international competition and won the world title. Biography Jackson was coached by Pierre Brunet in New York City, where he lived with the family of 1960 Olympic Champion Carol Heiss. He won a bronze medal at the 1960 Winter Olympics at the age of 19. In both 1959 and 1960, he won a silver medal at the World Championships. The 1961 event was cancelled after the tragic plane crash that claimed the lives of many of Jackson's contemporaries in the US figure skating team. He had not been scheduled to attend the championships that year and was luckily not on board the fatal flight. Lev Mikhailov (1936―2003) was a Russian clarinetist and saxophonist. He taught clarinet and saxophone at the Moscow Conservatory. Mikhailov performed with the Moscow Radio Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Bolshoi Theatre and the State Symphony Orchestra of the USSR. In 1991 he emigrated to Spain. Manfred Schnelldorfer
Manfred Schnelldorfer (born 2 May 1943) is a German former figure skater. He is the 1964 Olympic champion, the 1964 World champion, and an eight-time German national champion. Personal life Manfred Schnelldorfer was born on 2 May 1943 in Munich, Bavaria, the son of two figure skating coaches. His father had skated in an ice revue but saw its milieu as a harmful influence. Manfred Schnelldorfer studied architecture at TH-München but put his studies on hold for financial reasons. A resident of Munich, he is married and has two children. Career Competitive Schnelldorfer won his first competition at age eight. He was coached by his parents and skated for the Munich ERC club. Hans-Jürgen Bäumler (born 28 January 1942) is a German former pair skater, actor, and Schlager singer. Career Bäumler became famous in pair skating with his skating partner Marika Kilius. Between 1958 and 1964, they won the German nationals four times, became European champion six times, and world champion in pair skating twice. Their coach was Erich Zeller. The duo won a silver medal at the 1960 Olympic Winter Games, and Bäumler became one of the youngest male figure skating Olympic medalists. In 1964, they won a silver medal again. The duo had signed professional contracts and skated as professionals with ''Holiday on Ice'' before the 1964 Olympics, a violation of their amateur status and strict IOC rules. Charles Frederick Theodore Snelling (born September 17, 1937 in Toronto) is a Canadian former figure skater. He is the 1954-1958 & 1964 Canadian national champion and the 1957 World bronze medalist. He is the youngest ever men's Canadian national champion, as he was 16 at the time of his win in March 1954. He graduated from the University of Toronto Schools.
