Cem Karaca
Muhtar Cem Karaca (5 April 1945 – 8 February 2004) was a prominent Turkish rock musician and one of the most important figures in the Anatolian rock movement. He was a graduate of Robert College. He worked with various Turkish rock bands such as Apaşlar, Kardaşlar, Moğollar and Dervişan. With these bands, he brought a new understanding and interpretation to Turkish rock. Biography He was the only child of Mehmet İbrahim Karaca, a theatre actor of Azerbaijani origin, and İrma Felekyan (Toto Karaca), a popular opera, theatre, and movie actress of Armenian origin. His first group was called ''Dynamites'' and was a classic rock cover band. Later he joined ''Jaguars'', an Elvis Presley cover band. In 1967, he started to write his own music, joining the band ''Apaşlar'' (The Rowdies), his first Turkish language group. Yunus Nadi Abalıoğlu
Yunus Nadi Abalıoğlu (1879, Fethiye – 28 June 1945) was a renowned Turkish journalist and the founder of the newspaper ''Cumhuriyet''. He was known to be a sympathizer of the Nazi regime before the war, as he published many antisemitic propaganda articles praising Adolf Hitler. Biography Yunus Nadi was born in 1879 in the Seydiler village of the south Aegean town Fethiye. After primary school in Fethiye, he was schooled on Rhodes. Later on, Yunus Nadi moved to Istanbul. He graduated from Galatasaray High School. He then graduated from the Istanbul University with a degree in Law. Yunus Nadi started to work as a journalist at the newspaper "''Malumat''" in 1900. He was only 22 years old when he was sentenced to a three-years prison and exile due to an article he wrote in 1901. Ayşen Gruda (22 August 1944 – 23 January 2019) was a Turkish actress and comedian. Biography Ayşen Gruda was born on 22 August 1944 in Istanbul. Emel Sayın (born 20 November 1945) is a Turkish singer and actress. Ferdi Tayfur (; born Ferdi Tayfur Turanbayburt, 15 November 1945) is a Turkish Ottoman music artist, actor, director, songwriter and screenwriter.
