Aage Rasmussen
Aage Rasmussen (later Remfeldt; 4 September 1889 – 29 November 1983) was a Danish photographer and track and field athlete who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics. He was born in Frederiksberg and died in Havdrup Havdrup is a small railway town straddling the boundary between Solrød and Roskilde municipalities, some 30 km southwest of Copenhagen, Denmark. Erling Eckersberg
Erling Eckersberg (15 September 1808 27 November 1889) was a Danish printmaker. Early life and education Eckersberg was born on 15 September 1808 in Copenhagen, the son of Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg and Christine Rebekka Hyssing. His parents divorced when he was small. In 1812–15, while his father went on a study trip abroad, he was placed in the foster care of printmaker Oluf Olufsen Bagge and his wife Karen. Eckersberg initially trained as an artist under his father and attended the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1826–33. He was also trained as a printmaker privately by O.O. Bagge. He won the Academy's small silver medal in 1831 and its large gold medal in 1833. In 1834–38, he continued his training as a printmaker under J.M. Leroux and H.C. Hesse-Kassel
The Landgraviate of Hesse-Kassel (german: Landgrafschaft Hessen-Kassel), spelled Hesse-Cassel during its entire existence, was a state in the Holy Roman Empire that was directly subject to the Emperor. The state was created in 1567 when the Landgraviate of Hesse was divided upon the death of Philip I, Landgrave of Hesse. His eldest son William IV inherited the northern half of the Landgraviate and the capital of Kassel. The other sons received the Landgraviate of Hesse-Marburg, the Landgraviate of Hesse-Rheinfels and the Landgraviate of Hesse-Darmstadt. During the Napoleonic reorganisation of the Empire in 1803, the Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel was elevated to an Electorate and Landgrave William IX became an Imperial Elector. Auguste Sophie Friederike Marie Caroline Julie of Hesse-Kassel (30 October 1823 – 17 July 1889), known as Princess Augusta, was a Princess of Hesse-Cassel, a daughter of Prince William of Hesse-Kassel (1787–1867) and Princess Charlotte of Denmark (1789-1864). She spend most of her life in Denmark. Edward Tesdorpf
Edward Tesdorpf (7 September 1817 – 2 May 1889), was a German-Danish landowner, agricultural pioneer and sugar manufacturer. He became the owner of ten estates many of which were located in the Lolland-Falster area where he resided at Orupgaard near Nykøbing Falster where he founded a sugar factory in 1884. Several of the estates are still owned by his descendants, including Gjedsergaard and Pandebjerg on Falster. Early life Tesdorpf was born in Hamburg as the son of a wealthy merchant. Career He came to Denmark where he acquired Orupgård on the island of Lolland in 1840. He later acquired many other large properties, including Pandebjerg (1878) on Falster and Sædlingegård (1871) on Lolland, until he finally owned ten estates across Denmark with a total area of 2,400 hectares.
