Rasmus Rask
Rasmus Kristian Rask (; born Rasmus Christian Nielsen Rasch; 22 November 1787 – 14 November 1832) was a Danish linguist and philologist. He wrote several grammars and worked on comparative phonology and morphology. Rask traveled extensively to study languages, first to Iceland, where he wrote the first grammar of Icelandic, and later to Russia, Persia, India, and Ceylon (now Sri Lanka). Shortly before his death, he was hired as professor of Eastern languages at the University of Copenhagen. Rask is especially known for his contributions to comparative linguistics, including an early formulation of what would later be known as Grimm's Law. He was elected as a member to the American Philosophical Society in 1829. Anna Sofie Bülow
Anna Sofie von Bülow (1745-1787), was a Danish noble and courtier, known for her love life and unconventional life style, known in history as one of the Three Graces of the Danish royal court. Life She was the daughter of Christian Conrad Danneskiold-Laurvig and Dorte Sofie von Holstein and married the courtier baron Frederik Ludvig Ernst von Bülow in 1763. Johannes Flintoe
Johannes Flintoe (1786/87, Copenhagen - 27 January 1870, Copenhagen) was a Danish-born painter of Norwegian ancestry. He is known for his landscapes, costume studies and historical scenes. His works play a significant role in the transition to romantic nationalism. Biography His family (originally "Flinthoug") came from Hurum and his father was a metal caster. At the age of thirteen, he was apprenticed to a master decorative painter named Pader Faxøe, who became his foster father. In 1802, he began studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, which he completed in 1805. During this time, he also took private lessons in decorative and theatrical painting. From 1807 to 1808, he served in the Napoleonic Wars and developed rheumatism, which would create health issues for the rest of his life.Brief biography

Christian Waagepetersen (6 September 1787 – 23 November 1840) was a Danish wine merchant and patron of the arts. The Waagepetersen House, his home on Store Strandstræde in Copenhagen, was a meeting place during the 1820s and 1830s for many leading figures of the Danish Golden Age. The neoclassical building is now Listed buildings in Copenhagen Municipality, listed. He was born Christian Waage Petersen but changed his surname to Waagepetersen on 4 March 1831. Early life and education Christian Waage Petersen was born on 6 September 1787 in Copenhagen, the son of Lorentz Petersen and his wife Sophie Magdalene Worm (1765–1832). His father worked for a councilman named Waage but later established himself as a wine merchant.
