Niels Bang
Niels (de) Bang (20 February 1776 – 30 August 1815) was a Danish landowner. In 1809, he was awarded the Knight's Order of the Dannebrog for his efforts during the Battle of Copenhagen. He was the father-in-law of painter Frederik Sødring. Early life and education Bang was born on 20 February 1776 in Copenhagen, the son of attorney general and later president of Hof- og Stadsretten Ole B. (1731–89) and Else Marie Thecou (1735–1802). He was the elder brother of author Balthasar Bang. Bang earned a Candidate of Law degree from the University of Copenhagen in 1798. He then went on to study economy in Göttingen and travelled in Bavaria and Switzerland to study farming and industry. Career Bang worked for Rentekammeret (as ''auskultant'') from 1799 to 1804. In 1800, he and his brother-in-law Christian von Eggers bourht Benzonsdal from Jens Lauritz Barfred. Shortly thereafter he bought the brother-in-law's share of the estate. Johan Caspar Mylius
Johan Caspar Mylius (22 October 1776 – 15 September 1852) was a Danish military officer and landowner. He was appointed as chamberlain in 1840 and ennobled under the name de Mylius on 14 October 1840. Early life Mylius was born in Odense, the son of Johann Jacob Mylius (6 April 1727 - 24 August 1803) and Ulrica Catharina Rasch (14 February 1748 - 7 aug. 1831). Career Mylius was created a first lieutenant in 1801. He was appointed as captain á la suite in Nordre Sjællandske Landeværnsrgmt in 1802. artillery captain in 1803, ''Kompagnichef'' in Landeværnet in 1806, ''Kompagnichef'' in the Artillery in 1808. Heinrich Meldahl
Heinrich Meldahl (8 September 1776 – 24 February 1840) was a Danish industrial designer, architect and the owner of an iron foundry. Early life Heinrich Joachim Meldahl was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. He was the son of Christen Larsen Meldahl (ca. 1742-1782) and Cathrine Wendorf (1742-1807). Career From 1804, Meldahl was employed as a designer and operating engineer by Jacob Aall at the Næs jernverk in Aust-Agder, Norway. It was his task to lead production and deliver drawings to new product models. From 1806-07, Meldahl returned to Copenhagen for further education in drawing. In 1811, he returned to Denmark, where he was granted permission to establish an iron foundry at Vesterbro. Production included agricultural tools including plows and harrows as well as stoves and ovens similar to those from Næs. Barthold Georg Niebuhr (27 August 1776 – 2 January 1831) was a Danish–German statesman, banker, and historian who became Germany's leading historian of Ancient Rome and a founding father of modern scholarly historiography. By 1810 Niebuhr was inspiring German patriotism in students at the University of Berlin by his analysis of Roman economy and government. Niebuhr was a leader of the Romantic era and symbol of German national spirit that emerged after the defeat at Jena. Prince Christian of Hesse ( da, Christian af Hessen; german: Christian von Hessen) (14 August 1776 – 14 November 1814) was a German prince and member of the House of Hesse-Kassel. As a son of the Danish Field Marshal Prince Charles of Hesse-Kassel and Princess Louise of Denmark, he was a member of the extended Danish Royal Family and spent his entire life in Denmark. Henriette Danneskiold-Samsøe
Johanne Henriette Valentine Danneskiold-Samsøe née Kaas (12 August 1776 28 July 1843) was a Danish countess who, when widowed, fulfilled her former husband's plans by founding the Holmegaard Glass Factory near Næstved in 1825. In so doing, she became one of Denmark's most notable early businesswomen. Danneskiold-Samsøe is also remembered for the correspondence she maintained with her former tutor Peder Deichmann. Biography Born on 12 August 1776 in Copenhagen, Johanne Henriette Valentine Kaas was one of the nine children of the naval officer Frederik Christian Kaas (1727–1894) and his wife Edele Sofie née Kaas (1746–1800). Urban Jürgensen
Urban Bruun Jürgensen (5 August 1776 - 14 May 1830) was a Danish watchmaker. His company lived on and was called Jules Jürgensen after one of his two sons and is based in Switzerland. Early life and education Jürgensen was born on 5 August 1776 in Copenhagen, the son of royal watchmaker Jørgen Jørgensen (1745–1811) and Anne Leth Bruun (1755–1828). He attended Efterslægtens skole where his teachers included Edvard Storm and Knud Lyhne Rahbek. Jürgensen was in the same time a watchmaker's apprentice in his father's workshop. Aged 20, he went on a five-year journey abroad with economic support from Fonden ad usus publicos and Det Reiersenske Fond.
