Adam Gottlob Moltke
Count Adam Gottlob von Moltke (10 November 171025 September 1792) was a Danish courtier, statesman and diplomat, and Favourite of Frederick V of Denmark. Moltke was born at Riesenhof in Mecklenburg. His son, Joachim Godske Moltke, and his grandson, Adam Wilhelm Moltke, later served as Prime Minister of Denmark. Early life Adam Gottlob Greve von Moltke was born 10/11 November 1710 to Joachim von Moltke and Magdalene Sophia von Cothmann. Though of German origin, many of the Moltkes were at this time in the Danish service, which was considered a more important and promising opening for the young north German noblemen than the service of any of the native principalities. Ole Rømer
Ole Christensen Rømer (; 25 September 1644 – 19 September 1710) was a Danish astronomer who, in 1676, made the first measurement of the speed of light. Rømer also invented the modern thermometer showing the temperature between two fixed points, namely the points at which water respectively boils and freezes. In scientific literature, alternative spellings such as "Roemer", "Römer", or "Romer" are common. Biography Rømer was born on 25 September 1644 in Århus to merchant and skipper Christen Pedersen (died 1663), and Anna Olufsdatter Storm ( – 1690), daughter of a well-to-do alderman. Since 1642, Christen Pedersen had taken to using the name Rømer, which means that he was from the Danish island of Rømø, to distinguish himself from a couple of other people named Christen Pedersen. Catarina Gustmeyer

After the death of her spouse Carl Hieronimus Gustmeyer in 1756, she inherited his company, which had the privilege of delivering wood fuel to the royal court. She belonged to the elite of the Danish business world. In 1771, she was one of only three women to pay tax as merchants in Copenhagen, and in 1772 one of three women members of the Grosserer-Societetet (GS). In 1772, she was rich enough to send her private merchant fleet to Danish West Indies with relief help after a hurricane. Christian Ditlev Reventlow (1710–1775)
Christian Ditlev, Count of Reventlow (10 March 1710 – 30 March 1775) was a Danish Privy Councillor, nobleman and estate owner. Reventlow was the third son of Christian Ditlev Reventlow and his wife Benedicte Margrethe von Brockdorff; as such, he was born into a family of significant influence and wealth. His father, an officer and diplomat, had close familial ties to the Danish royal family and had been betrothed to , illegitimate daughter of King Christian V of Denmark, who died young. Furthermore, his paternal aunt was Anne Sophie Reventlow, morganatic wife of King Frederik IV of Denmark, and later Queen of Denmark. Despite his position, Reventlow devoted his life to his family and the maintenance of his estates, showing very little interest in life at court. Frederick IV (Danish: ''Frederik''; 11 October 1671 – 12 October 1730) was King of Denmark and Norway from 1699 until his death. Frederick was the son of Christian V of Denmark-Norway and his wife Charlotte Amalie of Hesse-Kassel. Early life Frederick was born on 11 October 1671 at Copenhagen Castle as the eldest son of King Christian V and his spouse Charlotte Amalie of Hesse-Kassel. The newborn prince was baptized the same evening with the name Frederick by the royal confessional Hans Leth. His grandfather King Frederick III had died a year and a half before he was born, and as the eldest son of the ruling king he was thus crown prince from birth.
