15 Years After
''15 Years After'' is a box set by the musical project Enigma (German band), Enigma. It was released by Virgin Germany on 9 December 2005. The box set contains eight discs, five of them original studio albums created from 1990 to 2003, two DVDs, and a bonus CD of Enigma's songs covered by Rollo Armstrong. As the title suggests, the box set celebrates the fifteen years since the release of Enigma's first single, "Sadeness (Part I)". The album cover was taken from ''Lady with an Ermine'', a 1490 painting by Leonardo da Vinci. The box set packaging and photography was done by Dirk Rudolph, while artwork direction and original designs were created by Johann Zambryski, a long-time designer of Enigma artworks. Originally, the box set was sold at Euro, €128, and this raised a stir with fans of the project, since the discs were not remastered, unlike the compilation album ''Love Sensuality Devotion: The Greatest Hits'' but were instead fitted with Copy Control. A new single, "Hello an ...

Enigma (German Band)
Enigma is a German musical project founded in 1990 by Romanian-German musician and producer Michael Cretu. Cretu had released several solo records, collaborated with various artists, and produced albums for his then-wife, German pop singer Sandra, before he conceived the idea of a new-age, worldbeat project. He recorded the first Enigma studio album, '' MCMXC a.D.'' (1990), with contributions from David Fairstein and Frank Peterson. The album remains Enigma's most successful, helped by the international hit single "Sadeness (Part I)", which sold twelve million units alone. According to Cretu, the inspiration for the creation of the project came from his desire to make a kind of music that did not obey "the old rules and habits" and presented a new form of artistic expression with mystic and experimental components. Enigma followed '' MCMXC a.D.'' with a series of albums that involved several musicians and producers working with Cretu. The first was ''The Cross of Changes'' (199 ...

Hello And Welcome
"Hello and Welcome" (titled "Hello + Welcome") is a song created by the musical project Enigma, released on 10 March 2006 (see 2006 in music). Overview The vocals in the song are sung by Andru Donalds, who also lent his voice in the fourth and fifth Enigma albums. On its release, listeners thought that, like previous standalone single " Turn Around", the song might not be part of any released album: however, it was later released in September 2006, with a new mix, on ''A posteriori''. The song will also be the walk-in music for the German boxer, Felix Sturm. According to information provided by Crocodile Music Management, the single was originally scheduled to be released first in October 2005 but the date was moved to 25 November 2005, a day before Sturm's fight with Maselino Masoe for the WBA Championship title. But due to an injury that Sturm picked up just weeks before the fight, the single's release date was pushed further back until 10 March 2006, just a day before Sturm's ...

Virginity is the state of a person who has never engaged in sexual intercourse. The term ''virgin'' originally only referred to sexually inexperienced women, but has evolved to encompass a range of definitions, as found in traditional, modern and ethical concepts. Heterosexual individuals may or may not consider loss of virginity to occur only through penile-vaginal penetration, while people of other sexual orientations often include oral sex, anal sex, or mutual masturbation in their definitions of losing one's virginity. There are cultural and religious traditions that place special value and significance on this state, predominantly towards unmarried females, associated with notions of personal purity, honor, and worth. Like chastity, the concept of virginity has traditionally involved sexual abstinence. The concept of virginity usually involves moral or religious issues and can have consequences in terms of social status and in interpersonal relationships.See her an ...

2005 Compilation Albums
5 (five) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number, and cardinal number, following 4 and preceding 6, and is a prime number. It has attained significance throughout history in part because typical humans have five digits on each hand. In mathematics 5 is the third smallest prime number, and the second super-prime. It is the first safe prime, the first good prime, the first balanced prime, and the first of three known Wilson primes. Five is the second Fermat prime and the third Mersenne prime exponent, as well as the third Catalan number, and the third Sophie Germain prime. Notably, 5 is equal to the sum of the ''only'' consecutive primes, 2 + 3, and is the only number that is part of more than one pair of twin primes, ( 3, 5) and (5, 7). It is also a sexy prime with the fifth prime number and first prime repunit, 11. Five is the third factorial prime, an alternating factorial, and an Eisenstein prime with no imaginary part and real part of the form 3p ...

The Screen Behind The Mirror
''The Screen Behind the Mirror'' is the fourth studio album by the German musical project Enigma, released on 14 January 2000 by Virgin Records. It was recorded at the A.R.T. Studios in Ibiza, Spain. Composition "The Gate" begins the album with its trademark Enigma horn, fused together with Elisabeth Houghton narrating astronomical facts about the fourth planet from the sun, Mars, similar to the ending title track of Vangelis' album, ''Albedo 0.39''. "O Fortuna, velut Luna, statu variabilis" cuts into it rather abruptly and loudly, and ends quickly for the voice to continue the recital unfazed, as it continues deep into the next song, " Push the Limits" for 24 seconds. "Push the Limits" introduces first a high-paced beat, first some snare drums and then several other layers of music gradually to form a complex and multilayered track. Elisabeth Houghton whispers the lyrics to the song and this brings in a presumably mellow voice (actually an electric guitar solo modified to sound ...

Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!
''Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!'' (French for "") is the third studio album by the German musical project Enigma, released on 22 November 1996 by Virgin Records. The album reached to the top spot in Norway and the top five in Austria, Finland, Germany and Switzerland. It spawned two singles, "Beyond the Invisible" and " T.N.T. for the Brain". A planned third single, "The Roundabout", was scrapped at the last minute for unclear reasons, even though a remix had already been created by DJ Quicksilver. The album continued Enigma's trend, giving it a slightly more modern, futuristic sound by combining the elements of Enigma's first album, '' MCMXC a.D.'', and their second album, ''The Cross of Changes''. Michael Cretu, producer of the project, considered ''Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!'' to be the child of the previous two albums, with the first being the father and the second being the mother, as indicated by the 19‑second track "Third of Its Kind". There are two editions of the p ...

The Cross Of Changes
''The Cross of Changes'' is the second studio album by the German musical project Enigma, headed by Romanian-German musician and producer Michael Cretu, released on 6 December 1993 by Virgin Records internationally and by Charisma Records in the United States. Following the worldwide commercial success of the first Enigma album, '' MCMXC a.D.'' (1990), Cretu began to write and record music for a new album at A.R.T. Studios, his home studio in Ibiza, Spain. Cretu sampled songs from several artists, including Vangelis, U2, Genesis and Black Sabbath. ''The Cross of Changes'' was a commercial success. Upon its release, it debuted at 1 on the UK Albums Chart, becoming Enigma's second consecutive number-one album in the United Kingdom, and peaked at number nine on the ''Billboard'' 200 in the United States, where it sold over two million copies. In 1994, four singles were released from the album: "Return to Innocence", " The Eyes of Truth", " Age of Loneliness (Carly's Song)" (ori ...

Voyageur (song)
The voyageurs (; ) were 18th and 19th century French Canadians who engaged in the transporting of furs via canoe during the peak of the North American fur trade. The emblematic meaning of the term applies to places (New France, including the ''Pays d'en Haut'' and the ''Pays des Illinois'') and times where transportation of materials was mainly over long distances. The voyageurs were regarded as legendary. They were heroes celebrated in folklore and music. For reasons of promised celebrity status and wealth, this position was coveted. Despite the fame surrounding the voyageur, their life was one of toil and not nearly as glorious as folk tales make it out to be. For example, they had to be able to carry two bundles of fur over portages. Some carried up to four or five, and there is a report of a voyageur carrying seven bundles for half of a mile.Mike Hillman, "La Bonga: The Greatest Voyageur" Boundary Waters Journal Magazine, Summer 2010 Issue, pp 20–25 Hernias were common a ...
