The 1999–2000 season was Cardiff City F.C.'s 73rd season in the Football League. They competed in the 24-team Division Two, then the third tier of English football, finishing twenty-first, suffering relegation to Division Three. Cardiff (; cy, Caerdydd ) is the capital and largest city of Wales. It forms a principal area, officially known as the City and County of Cardiff ( cy, Dinas a Sir Caerdydd, links=no), and the city is the eleventh-largest in the United Kingdom. Ian Feuer
Ian Anthony Feuer (born May 20, 1971) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a goalkeeper. He is currently a volunteer assistant coach for the USC Trojans women's soccer team. Born in Las Vegas, he played youth soccer in his home state and California before moving to Belgium at the age of sixteen, joining the youth team at Club Brugge. He signed a professional contract with Brugge but never made a first-team appearance, spending part of the 1992–93 season on loan with Molenbeek where he made his senior debut and his performances saw him win his first and only cap for the United States in a friendly against Morocco. Scott Young (Welsh Footballer)
Scott Young (born 14 January 1976) is a Welsh former professional footballer. Club career Young was born in Tonypandy. He made his first appearance for Cardiff City, under then manager Eddie May, on 6 November 1993 in a 3–1 victory over Stockport County at the age of sixteen. He became a popular figure during his 11 seasons at Cardiff City, especially after scoring the winning goal in the 2–1 win over Leeds United on 6 January 2002 in the third round of the FA Cup. A one-club man since graduating from the Ninian Park ranks, Young made 275 league appearances for the Bluebirds. Unfortunately his later years with Cardiff were blighted by a persistent back injury and he retired at the end of the 2003/04 season at the age of 28. Tony Vaughan
Anthony John Vaughan (born 11 October 1975) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender/midfielder from 1994 until 2006. He played Premier League football for Ipswich Town before moving into the Football League with Manchester City, Cardiff City, Nottingham Forest, Scunthorpe United, Mansfield Town, Barnsley and Stockport County. He also played in the Scottish Premier League for Motherwell and finished his career in non-league football with Hucknall Town. Lee Phillips (born 18 March 1979, in Aberdare) is a Welsh-born former footballer who is currently manager of A.F.C. Llwydcoed Career Phillips began his career at Cardiff City, making his debut in a 3–2 win over Hartlepool United in February 1997 as a replacement for Scott Young. During the following years he found opportunities hard to come by at the club before moving on to League of Wales outfit Barry Town in 2000 where he made just under 100 appearances including some appearances in European competition. Russell Perrett
Russell Perrett (born 18 June 1973) is an English former footballer who spent most of his career with Portsmouth and Luton Town. He started his career in non-league football with Lymington Town in the Wessex League where he holds the record as the youngest player to play in that league at age 14. Football career After being released from Portsmouth, where he had completed a two-year apprenticeship, he went back to play for Lymington Town in the Wessex League. Joshua David Low (born 15 February 1979) is a retired professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Born in England, he represented the Wales U21 national team internationally. Michael Paul Ford (born 9 February 1966) is an English football manager and former professional player. His father, Tony Ford, was also a professional footballer. Playing career Ford began his career at Leicester City where he became a full-time professional at the age of 18. Winston Faerber (born 27 March 1971) is a former Dutch professional footballer, born in Suriname. Club career Faerber began his career at ADO Den Haag.
