1999 TSFL Season
The 1999 TSFL (Tasmanian State Football League) premiership season was an Australian rules football competition, staged across Tasmania, Australia over eighteen roster rounds and four finals series matches between 10 April and 18 September 1999. This was the fourteenth season of statewide football and the League was known as the Chickenfeed Super League under a commercial naming-rights sponsorship agreement with Chickenfeed Bargain Stores in Hobart worth A$350,000. From this season the competition would be under the control of a new independent governing body of the sport in Tasmania named Football Tasmania as part of recommendations set down by the Australian Football League's Biggs Report investigation into the strong decline in interest and financial disarray of the TFL competition. Tasmanian Football League
The Tasmanian State League (TSL), colloquially known as the "Tasmanian Football League (TFL)" (formerly known as the "Tasmanian Australian National Football League (TANFL)" and several other short-term names) is the highest ranked Australian rules football league in Tasmania, Australia. North Hobart Oval
North Hobart Oval is a Stadium, sports venue in North Hobart, Tasmania, used for Australian rules football. History North Hobart Oval started its existence as Hobart Town's brickfields in 1844 before becoming a Brickfields Hiring Depot, convict women's housing site, an immigration depot and an invalid persons' depot before closing in 1882 whereby the land became a rubbish dump until it was acquired for construction of a football stadium in 1921. The first official match to take place on North Hobart Oval was a Tasmanian Football League, TFL match between Lefroy Football Club, Lefroy and Glenorchy Football Club, New Town on 6 May 1922, the match was won by Lefroy (9.8.62 to 7.13.55) before 1,000-people. Mark David Colegrave, (born 1 July 1968) is an Australian cricketer who played for Tasmania in the 2000–01 season. Colegrave is a talented fast bowler who excelled in the Tasmanian Grade Cricket competition, but never managed to properly break into the Tigers team. Kalgoorlie is a city in the Goldfields–Esperance region of Western Australia, located east-northeast of Perth at the end of the Great Eastern Highway. The West Australian Football League (WAFL) is an Australian rules football league based in Perth, Western Australia. Troy Clarke (8 June 1969 – 28 October 2013) was an Australian rules footballer who played with the Brisbane Bears in the Australian Football League (AFL) during the 1990s. Paul Hamilton (Australian Footballer)
Paul Hamilton (born 19 June 1967) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and Australian Football League (AFL) during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Hamilton was a defender and usually occupied a back pocket for Essendon. After playing in a Preliminary Final in 1989, Hamilton participated in the 1990 AFL Grand Final. Dean Chiron
Dean Chiron (born 27 March 1961) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda, Footscray and Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the 1980s. Chiron spent his early career up forward or in the centre and kicked 12 goals in his debut season. The Beaufort recruit kicked a career best six goals in a game against Sydney at Moorabbin Oval the following year. West Park Oval is an Australian Rules football, cycling and athletics venue located on the shores of Bass Strait in Burnie, Tasmania. It is the current home of the Burnie Dockers in the Tasmanian State League and previously in the NTFL and in the original TFL Statewide League. Devonport Oval
Devonport Oval is an Australian rules football, cricket and athletics stadium in Devonport, Tasmania. It is the home stadium for the Devonport Football Club in the Tasmanian State League (TSL) and for the Devonport Cricket Club in the NWTCA competition. Boyer Oval is the home headquarters of the New Norfolk District Football Club and the Molesworth Cricket Club.
