The Speedway Under-21 World Championship is an annual speedway event held each year organized by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) since 1977. As of 2022, the title was awarded to the winner of the SGP2 category at the FIM Speedway World Championship. In 1979, the Championship allowed riders from other continents to compete, but was renamed to the Speedway World Under 21 Championship in 1988. Damian Baliński
Damian Baliński (born 5 August 1977, in Poland) is an international motorcycle speedway rider and a current member of Poland national team. He has ridden since 1994 with Unia Leszno. His older brother Dariusz and his son Damian Jr. (Damian's nephew; b. 1989) are also speedway riders. Baliński is married to Aneta. They have two sons, Mikołaj and Filip (b. 2009). Nigel Sadler (born 17 September 1978) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Australia. Career Sadler made his British leagues debut during the 1997 Premier League speedway season, where he rode for Skegness Braves. However, Skegness disbanded and were replaced mid season by Isle of Wight Warriors. Sadler also won the silver medal at the 1997 Australian Under-21 Individual Speedway Championship. The following season he joined the Peterborough Panthers for the 1998 Premier League speedway season and quickly established himself as a heat leader and helped the team win the league and cup double. He reached the final of the 1998 Speedway Under-21 World Championship as reserve and scored 5 points to finish 12th. The Blackwells Mills Canal House is located at Blackwells Mills Road and Canal Road in Franklin Township, Somerset County, New Jersey, United States, on the Delaware and Raritan Canal. Across the canal is Blackwells Mills, New Jersey. History The house was built , at the same time as the canal, to house the bridge tender. The bridge tender would turn the swing bridge when boats came through, then turn it back to allow road traffic to cross over the canal. In 1932, the canal closed and the swing bridges were dismantled. The house and the canal were transferred to the state of New Jersey. In 1971 the Blackwells Mills Canal House Association was formed, and they leased the house from the state and began to restore it as a community center, museum, and library. Andre Compton
Andre Neil Compton (born 15 May 1977 in Dewsbury, England) is a speedway rider. He is the older brother of Benji Compton. Career summary In 2004, Compton's form led to a call up from Elite League side Poole Pirates. This was also the year in which Compton became Premier League Riders Champion. He passed the unbeaten Simon Stead in the final, and both riders fell on the last turn, giving both riders multiple injuries. The race was awarded and Compton managed to take his place on the rostrum as winner. In 2006, Compton became the captain of the Sheffield Tigers following the retirement of Sean Wilson. It was a successful season for the Tigers who finished second in the Premier League and gained a place in the Premier League play-off final, which was won by the King's Lynn Stars. Compton tore ligaments in his shoulder while riding in Sweden in August, just before the Premier Trophy Final, which they consequently lost to King's Lynn Stars. Kenny Olsson
Börje Kenny Olsson (March 6, 1977 in Stockholm, Sweden – June 8, 2007), was a Swedish Motorcycle speedway, speedway racer. He rode in the United Kingdom, UK for the Trelawny Tigers in 2001 and for the Glasgow Tigers (speedway), Glasgow Tigers in 2002 in the Premier League (speedway), Premier League. He competed regularly in the Xtreme International Ice Racing series (ice speedway) in the United States, winning the series in 2004 and 2005. On June 8, 2007, he died in a hospital after a crash the day before while racing for Vargarna in the Swedish Elite League, had left him with serious head injuries. References
