Edward Brongersma
Edward Brongersma (31 August 1911 in Haarlem, Netherlands – 22 April 1998 in Bloemendaal/Overveen, Netherlands) was a Dutch politician and doctor of law. For a number of years he was a member of the Dutch Senate for the Labour Party, and chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. He was primarily known for pedophilia advocacy and as an advocate of more lax legislation on public morality. Early life Brongersma was born in Haarlem as the son of an ophthalmologist. He studied law at the University of Amsterdam (1931–1935) and obtained his degree in 1935. From 1935 to 1937 he was associated with a law firm in Haarlem while working on his doctoral dissertation on the Portuguese constitution of 1933 and Portuguese corporatism of Antonio de Oliveira Salazar, whom he much admired at the time. Violette Cornelius
Violette Cornelius (17 March 1919, Batavia, Dutch East Indies – 23 January 1998, Saint-Maximin, France) was a Dutch photographer and resistance fighter during World War II. During the war, she joined an artist's resistance group and contributed to clandestine magazines. After the war, she specialized in architectural photography. She collaborated on many business photo books, including one about Hoogovens IJmuiden with Cas Oorthuys and others. In 1957 she made a book about the city of Weesp together with the author Jan Elburg. She then went, often with colleague Sean Wellesley Miller, capturing the migration to urban areas in developing countries. Later, she published reportages about Iraq, India, Peru, Yemen, and some countries in Africa. Alfred Lagarde (2 April 1948 – 1 January 1998) was a Dutch radio personality. Born in Groningen, Lagarde presented the hard rock radio program ''Betonuur'' from 1974 to 1979. Career Leerdam became the junior world champion at the 2017 World Junior Championships in Helsinki, Finland. Hawijch Elders is a Dutch violinist born on 31 October 1998. Biography Elders started violin lessons at the age of six at Mea Fontijn, and from 2011-2016 she received violin lessons and chamber music lessons from Benzion Shamir. She has been following her violin training with Ilya Grubert at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam since 2016, where she completed the Bachelor of Music (2020) and Master of Music (2022) degree programmes with highest distinction.
