Saudi Second Division
The Saudi Second Division , also known as the Second Division League (SDL), is a football league that is the third tier of the Saudi Arabian football league system. The league consists of 32 teams divided into two groups and was founded in 1996. Promotion and relegation The top 3 teams are promoted to the First Division League. The first two teams of each group will advance directly to the First Division League, and the second two teams of each group will compete in two round-trip matches, and the winning team will advance to the First Division League as the third team. The bottom two clubs of each group are relegated to the Third Division League. Saudi First Division
The First Division League (FDL for short), also called the Yelo league for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of professional football in Saudi Arabia. The First Division League is ranked below the Saudi Professional League and above the Saudi Second Division in the Saudi Arabian football league system. All of the FDL clubs qualify for the King Cup, the annual Saudi Cup competition. Al-Hazem are the most recent champions, winning their second title during the 2020–21 season. The number of clubs in the league has changed throughout history, most recently in the 2018–19 season, when the number of clubs increased from 16 to 20. Since the 2019–20 season, three clubs from the First Division are directly promoted to the Pro League; on the other hand, four clubs are directly relegated to the Second Division. Al Nahda ( ar, نادي النهضة) is a Saudi football club from Al-Khobar, Dammam. They currently playing in the Saudi First Division. Al-Arabi Sports Club ( ar, نادي العربي), also known as Al-Arabi Al-Saudi, is a professional multi-sports club based in Unaizah, Saudi Arabia. The football team competes in the First Division League, the second tier of Saudi Football. The club's main colors are white and red. Al-Arabi has a fierce rivalry with Al-Najma, with whom they compete in the Unaizah Derby. Mudhar Club () is a Saudi Arabian football club based in Al-Qudaih, Qatif, Eastern Province and competes in the Saudi Second Division, the third tier of Saudi football. The club was founded in 1970 and consists of various other departments including table tennis, volleyball, and basketball. Mudhar is also known for their handball division which is one of the most successful handball clubs in Saudi Arabia. Mudhar have competed in the Saudi Second Division on 4 previous occasions, most recently in the 2000–01 season. During the 2022–23 season, Mudhar won their first ever Third Division title and earned promotion to the Second Division for the first time in over 20 years.
