1997–98 Cypriot Fourth Division
The 1997–98 Cypriot Fourth Division was the 13th season of the Cypriot fourth-level football league. SEK won their 1st title. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 1997–98 Cypriot Fourth Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The first three teams were promoted to the 1998–99 Cypriot Third Division and the last three teams were relegated to regional leagues. Point system Teams received three points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a loss. Cypriot Fourth Division
The Cypriot Fourth Division ( el, Τέταρτη Κατηγορία) was the fourth tier association football, football league competition in Cyprus, ran by the Cyprus Football Association. Each year, the top finishing teams of the league were promoted to the Cypriot Third Division, and the lowest finishing teams were relegated to the amateur leagues. History The Cypriot Fourth Division started the 1985–86 football season as the fourth level of the Cypriot football. The decision was taken by CFA on 23 July 1985. The first eight seasons the championship was split into three or four geographical groups, representing the Districts of Cyprus. Tsaggaris Peledriou
Tsaggaris Peledriou is a Cypriot football club based in Pelendri, Cyprus. Founded in 1957 as Sotirios Pelendriou, changed their name to Apollon Pelendriou after they were expelled from the CFA on the category of match-fixing (with ENAZ Agia Zoni Limassol). They changed their name to Tsaggaris Pelendriou at 1984. The team was playing sometimes in Third and in Fourth Division. 1997–98 Cypriot Cup
The 1997–98 Cypriot Cup was the 56th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 50 clubs entered the competition. It began on 12 November 1997 with the preliminary round and concluded on 15 May 1998 with the final which was held at Makario Stadium. Anorthosis won their 7th Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Apollon 3–1 in the final. Format In the 1997–98 Cypriot Cup, participated all the teams of the Cypriot First Division, the Cypriot Second Division, the Cypriot Third Division and 8 of the 14 teams of the Cypriot Fourth Division. The competition consisted of six knock-out rounds. In the preliminary round and in the first round each tie was played as a single leg and was held at the home ground of the one of the two teams, according to the draw results. The 1997–98 Cypriot First Division was the 59th season of the Cypriot top-level football league. Anorthosis won their 9th title. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 1997–98 Cypriot First Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The last three teams were relegated to the 1998–99 Cypriot Second Division. The champions ensured their participation in the 1998–99 UEFA Champions League and the runners-up in the 1998–99 UEFA Cup. The teams had to declare their interest to participate in the 1998 UEFA Intertoto Cup before the end of the championship. At the end of the championship, the higher placed team among the interested ones participated in the Intertoto Cup (if they had not secured their participation in any other UEFA competition). ''Oroklini-Troulloi FC 2020'' ( el, Ορόκλινη-Τρούλλοι FC 2020) is a Cypriot football club which is based in the village of Troulloi in Larnaca district. The club was founded in 1952 as Digenis Oroklinis. In the 2014–2015 season the team competed in the Cypriot Second Division for the first time in its history. History Digenis was founded in 1952 under the name Athletic Club Omonia Oroklinis. In 1983 the general meeting of the association decided to rename to Digenis.
