The 1997 PBA All-Filipino Cup Finals was the best-of-7 basketball championship series of the 1997 PBA All-Filipino Cup, and the conclusion of the conference's playoffs. The Gordon's Gin Boars and Purefoods Corned Beef Cowboys played for the 66th championship contested by the league. The Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots, or simply known as the Magnolia Hotshots, are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association. The team is owned by San Miguel Food and Beverage, Inc., a subsidiary of San Miguel Corporation (SMC). The team is one of three PBA ball clubs currently owned by the SMC group of companies, along with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and the San Miguel Beermen. They have 14 PBA championships, tied with Barangay Ginebra and the Alaska Aces for the second-most championships overall, trailing only San Miguel Beermen by 14. Alvin Dale Vergara Patrimonio (born November 17, 1966) is a Filipino retired professional basketball player from the Philippine Basketball Association and is the current team manager for the Magnolia Hotshots. Patrimonio holds several PBA records including most consecutive games played (596); third most points scored in history (15,091); fourth most rebounds grabbed in history (more than 6,000) and second-most PBA Most Valuable Player awards (4, tied with Ramon Fernandez). A color commentator or expert commentator is a sports commentator who assists the main (play-by-play) commentator, typically by filling in when play is not in progress. Paul Ryan C. Gregorio (born April 7, 1972) and nicknamed by some as "Coach R.G." is a Filipino professional basketball coach for the Gilas Pilipinas. He was head coach of the Meralco Bolts in the Philippine Basketball Association from 2010 to 2014. Gregorio began his PBA coaching career with the Purefoods TJ Giants in 2002 on an acting capacity and won his first PBA Championship on the same year at the age of 29. Francisco "Frankie" Lim (born February 29, 1960) is a Filipino former basketball player, basketball coach and executive. He played 15 seasons in the PBA. He later became a successful coach, leading his alma mater San Beda Red Lions to four NCAA seniors titles. Lim is currently the coach of the NLEX Road Warriors. Ferdinand "Bong" Ravena II (born May 22, 1970) is a Filipino former professional basketball player and a current assistant coach for the TNT Tropang Giga of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
