1996 PFF President's Cup
The 1996 PPF President's Cup was the 10th edition of Pakistan National Football Challenge Cup. 24 qualified for the tournament but 3 teams withdrew as soon as the tournament started. Quetta hosted the tournament, commencing from August 16, 1996 – September 13, 1996. Allied Bank won the tournament defeating Pakistan Army 3–1 in the finals, completing the double as they won the league same year. Teams A total of 24 teams participated in the team. General Fans won the previous tournament, held in 1994. But they did not participated in the 1996 edition. Haroon Yousaf
Haroon Yousaf ( ur, ہارون یوسف) was born on 10 November 1973 in Mandi Bahauddin. He was the former Pakistan national football team captain and was capped 53 times and scored 3 goals in his international career. The versatile footballer played as a defender or midfielder. Career Yousaf started his career at Pakistan Railways FC in 1990. He transferred to WAPDA FC the following season and stayed there for five years. In 1995, he moved to ABL FC where he became captain. He retired in 2003. He has been a winner of the national football championship 4 times and runner up on 4 occasions. He also won the PFF Cup 4 times and was runner up once. Yousaf also played a short while for Afghan FC where he is still highly praised as a solid player and leader. Yousaf was the captain of PMC Club Athletico Faisalabad. Gohar Zaman
Gohar Zaman (born December 15, 1979) is a retired Pakistani footballer, who played as a midfielder for Pakistan Airlines and Allied Bank. He was forced to retire in 2002 due to an injury. Zaman won National League thrice with Allied Bank, first in 1997 and then two consecutive titles in 1999 and 2000. He also won the National Football Challenge Cup four times with Allied Bank, winning in 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2002. During the 2002 World Cup qualifiers he became the only Pakistani footballer to score a hat-trick in a World Cup match. He completed hat-trick within 40 minutes against Sri Lanka in 3-3 draw. Syed Nasir Ismail (Urdu: سید ناصر اسماعیل; born 17 July 1967) is a Pakistani football manager and former international player. He is an AFC Licence-A coach.
