1995–96 Divizia B
The 1995–96 Divizia B was the 56th season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format has been maintained to two series, each of them having 18 teams. At the end of the season, the winners of the series promoted to Divizia A and the last two places from both series relegated to Divizia C. Divizia B
The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. The first six teams from each series participate in a play-off for potential promotion to Liga I. The teams placed from 7th to 12th will play a relegation play-off, where the last two teams are relegated to Liga III. FCM Dinamo Onești
FCM Dinamo Onești was a Romanian professional football club from Onești, Bacău County, Romania, founded in 1994 and dissolved in 2015. History It all started in 1988. Mecon Onești, a team that has just been established, promoted in Divizia C. With a new stadium, Mecon hopes to have something to say in Romanian football. Promoted with Steluș Roșca, Mecon calls his coach Gheorghe Zaharia. Beyond the batch, the leadership, an enthusiastic one, dreamed at great moments for Mecon. Clubul Sportiv Municipal Focșani, commonly known as CSM Focșani, or simply Focșani, is a Romanian professional football club from Focşani, Vrancea County, founded in 1953 as ''Spartac Focșani''. History The club was founded in 1953 as ''Spartac Focșani'' and over its history had various names like: ''Progresul'', ''Rapid'', ''Fructexport'', ''Acord'', ''Diplomatic'' and the most popular for Romanian football fans ''Unirea''. Faur București
Faur București was a football club based in Bucharest, Romania. History The club was established in 1935 as Metalul by workers at Malaxa. Prior to World War II they were known as Titanii and Rogifer. After the nationalisation of Malaxa, the club was renamed 23 August before becoming Metalochimic. In 1947–48 the club won promotion from Divizia B into Divizia A. However, they finished second bottom of the division the following season, and were relegated back to Divizia B. RSSSF The club was later renamed Energia and then back to Metalul again. Club Sportiv Municipal Flacăra Moreni, (), commonly known as Flacăra Moreni or simply as Flacăra, is a Romanian football club based in Moreni, Dâmbovița County. The team was founded by English and Dutch engineers from the local oil rig as ''Astra-Română Moreni'' in 1922. During the communist period, Flacăra was taken over by the Securitate with the involvement of director Tudor Postelnicu, who had previously worked as an iron lathe operator in the city. In the 1988–89 season, the club finished fourth in the top flight and earned a place in the UEFA Cup. FC Caracal was a Romanian professional football club from Caracal, Olt County, Romania. History The club was founded in Craiova in 1949 under the name of Metalul Craiova. It had various names during its history (see below), but the name which made it famous was Electroputere Craiova. As Extensiv Craiova it played its last season in Liga I. In the middle of the 2003–04 season, Extensiv changed its name to FC Craiova, but with no connection to the FC Craiova that existed between 1940–1949.
