1995 Iraqi Elite Cup
The Fifth Mother of all Battles Championship ( ar, بطولة أم المعارك الخامسة), commonly referred to as the 1995 Iraqi Elite Cup ( ar, كأس النخبة العراقي 1995), was the fifth occurrence of the Iraqi Elite Cup, organised by the Iraq Football Association. The top eight teams of the 1994–95 Iraqi National League competed in the tournament. Despite being the 1995 edition, the tournament was held in 1996. Ziyad Tariq Aziz Brisam is a former Iraqi footballer who played as a defender for Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, Al-Karkh, Al-Shorta and Al-Zawra'a. He also played for the Iraq national team. Abdul-Wahab Abu Al-Hail Labid Al-Zirjawi ( ar, عبد الوهاب أبو الهيل لابد الزيرجاوي; born 21 December 1975) is an Iraqi professional football manager and former player who is the head coach of Iraqi club Zakho. Club career Abu Al-Hail started his career by playing for Al-Talaba in Iraq. He has also played for Al-Shaab of the UAE. In 2003, he moved to the Iranian Pro League club Esteghlal Ahvaz. Al-Talaba Sports Club ( ar, نادي الطلبة الرياضي, lit=''Students Sports Club'') is an Iraqi sports club based in Al-Rusafa, Baghdad. Its football team competes in the Iraqi Premier League, the top flight of Iraqi football. Founded in 1977, it was merged with another club called Al-Jamiea ahead of the 1978–79 season. Tariq ( ar, طارق) is an Arabic word and given name. Etymology The word is derived from the Arabic verb , ('), meaning "to strike", and into the agentive conjugated doer form , ('), meaning "striker".
