Ziyad Tariq Aziz Brisam
Ziyad Tariq Aziz Brisam is a former Iraqi footballer who played as a defender for Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, Al-Karkh, Al-Shorta and Al-Zawra'a. He also played for the Iraq national team. Ziyad played in Al-Zawraa's 2000 Asian Cup Winners' Cup trail, and also came to the attention to a number of top Asian clubs in Al Zawraa's run to the 2000 Asian Cup Winners Cup' Final. Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya ( ar, نادي القوة الجوية الرياضي, lit=Air Force Club) is an Iraqi sports club based in Rusafa District, Baghdad that competes in the Iraqi Premier League, the top-flight of Iraqi football. Founded in 1931, it is the oldest existing club in Iraq. Al-Karkh Sports Club ( ar, نادي الكرخ الرياضي) is an Iraqi sports club based in Karkh, Baghdad. Its professional football team plays in the Iraqi Premier League, the top tier of the Iraqi football. The club's home stadium is Al-Saher Ahmed Radhi Stadium. Founded in 1963, Al-Karkh was not successful in reaching the top-flight of Iraqi football until Al-Rasheed SC's properties and place in the top division were transferred to Al-Karkh when Al-Rasheed were dissolved in 1990. Al-Shorta Sports Club ( ar, نادي الشرطة الرياضي, lit=''Police Sports Club'') is an Iraqi sports club based in Al-Rusafa, Baghdad. It has teams in 17 different sports, more than any other Iraqi club, and the best known section of the club is the football team, whose origins date back to 1932. In 1974, following the Iraq Football Association's decision to implement a clubs-only policy for domestic competitions, Al-Shorta were established as a sports club. Al-Zawraa Sports Club ( ar, نادي الزوراء الرياضي) is an Iraqi sports club based in Utayfia, Karkh, Karkh District (near Tigris River), Baghdad. Their football team compete in the Iraqi Premier League, the top-flight of Football in Iraq, Iraqi football. Adnan Dirjal ( ar, عدنان درجال مطر; born 26 January 1960 in Baghdad) is an Iraqi former footballer, national team coach, and as of May 2020 heads the Iraqi Ministry of Youth and Sports. He was one of Iraq's most prominent national team captains, who played as a defender. On 14 September 2021 he won the presidency of the Iraqi Football Association. Club career Adnan, a defender, started his career with Al-Zawraa, where he won the Iraqi league and cup double in 1978/1979.
