1995 Green Bay Packers Season
The 1995 Green Bay Packers season was their 77th season overall and their 75th in the National Football League. The Packers finished with an 11–5 record in the regular season and won the NFC Central, their first division title since 1982. In the playoffs, the Packers defeated the Atlanta Falcons at home and the defending champion San Francisco 49ers on the road before losing to the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Championship Game. Packers' quarterback Brett Favre (who had the best season of his entire career) was named the NFL's Most Valuable Player, the first of three such awards he would win. This was the first season that the Packers played home games exclusively at Lambeau Field, after playing part of their home slate at Milwaukee County Stadium since 1953. The National Football Conference – Northern Division or NFC North is one of the four divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). Nicknamed the "Black and Blue Division" for the rough and tough rivalry games between the teams, it currently has four members: the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings. The NFC North was previously known as the NFC Central from 1970 to 2001. Mike Arthur (born May 7, 1968) is an American former professional football player who was a center in the National Football League (NFL). Biography Arthur was born Michael Scott Arthur on May 7, 1968, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Arthur grew up in Houston, Texas, and played football at Spring Woods High School. Career Arthur was drafted in the fifth round of the 1991 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals and spent his first two seasons with the team. Mark Allen Brunell (born September 17, 1970) is an American football coach and former quarterback who is the quarterbacks coach for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). He played in the NFL for nineteen seasons and is best known for his nine seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, whom he led to the franchise's first playoff appearances between 1996 and 1999. For his accomplishments in Jacksonville, he was inducted to the Pride of the Jaguars in 2013.
