1994 Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship
The 1994 Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship was the 104th staging of the Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Tipperary County Board in 1887. The championship began on 27 August 1994 and ended on 2 October 1994. Toomevara were the defending champions. On 2 October 1994, Toomevara won the championship after a 3–11 to 1–09 defeat of Cashel King Cormacs in the final at Semple Stadium. It was their 13th championship title overall and their third title in succession. Kilruane MacDonaghs GAA
Kilruane MacDonaghs GAA is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "North-Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the villages of Kilruane, Ardcroney and Cloughjordan. The club was founded in 1937 and is named after Thomas MacDonagh, a signatory of the 1916 Proclamation who was born and lived in Cloughjordan. The clubhouse and playing field are located in Cloughjordan. The finest day in the club's history was in 1986 when it won the Senior Hurling Club All-Ireland title, defeating Buffers Alley of Wexford GAA in the final by 1-15 to 2-10. The club incorporates many of clubs that existed in the parishes at the time. A forerunner to the MacDonaghs club was the famous De Wets formed in 1900. Dan Quirke
Daniel Quirke (born 1968) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer and hurler who played for club side Clonoulty–Rossmore and at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior football team. Career Quirke first played Gaelic football and hurling at juvenile and underage levels with Clonoulty–Rossmore. He won a total of six divisional minor and under-21 titles between 1982 and 1988 as well as an All-Ireland Colleges BHC title with Cashel CBS in 1982. He was still a minor when Clonoulty won the Tipperary JAFC title in 1985 before securing the Tipperary IFC title the following year. At inter-county level, Quirke spent two seasons as a dual player at minor level in 1985 and 1986 before progressing onto the under-21 teams. He scored 3-02 when Tipperary beat Offaly by two points in the 1989 All-Ireland U21HC final. Declan Ryan (hurler)
Declan Ryan (born 25 March 1968) is an Irish former hurler and team manager with Tipperary. Regarded as one of his county's greatest hurling servants, Ryan joined the team during the 1988 championship and was a regular member of the team until his retirement after the 2001 championship. During that time he won three All-Ireland medals, five Munster medals and four National Hurling League medals. He has ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on two occasions. He is the father of two male kids, named, Jack and Tommy At club level Ryan is a two-time county club championship medalist with Clonoulty–Rossmore. In retirement from playing Ryan became involved in team management. He guided the Tipperary minor hurling team to a second consecutive All-Ireland title in 2007 before later winning back-to-back Munster titles with the Tipperary senior hurling team. John Leahy (hurler)
John Leahy (born 16 September 1969 in Mullinahone) is a former Irish sportsperson. He played senior hurling with the Tipperary inter-county team from 1988 until 2003. He also represented Tipperary in all grades in Gaelic football. Early life and private life John Leahy was born in Mullinahone, County Tipperary in 1969. He was educated locally in Mullinahone N.S., Ballingarry Presentation Convent and Killenaule V.S. He later worked for United Beverages Group in Kilkenny. He is currently working as a Drug Education Officer with the Health Service Executive (HSE). On 9 February 2005 Leahy was profiled on the TG4 television programme ''Laochra Gael.'' Raymond "Raymie" Ryan (born 1971) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a right wing-back for the Tipperary senior team. Ryan joined the team during the 1992 championship and was a regular member of the team until his retirement after the 1998 championship. During that time he won one Munster winners' medal and one National Hurling League winners' medal. At club level Ryan is a one-time Munster medalist with Cashel King Cormacs GAA. JK Brackens is a Gaelic Athletic Association club serving the parish of Templemore, Clonmore and Killea in County Tipperary, Ireland. JK Brackens compete in the county Tipperary GAA and Mid-Tipperary divisional competitions and is one of only two clubs in Tipperary that consistently complete at senior level in both the hurling and gaelic football. West Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship
The West Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Tipperary Co-Op West Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the West Tipperary Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1930 for senior hurling teams in West Tipperary, Ireland. The championship has always been played using a knock-out format. The West Tipperary Championship was, until recent times, an integral part of the wider Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship. The winners and runners-up of the West Tipperary Championship joined their counterparts from the other three divisions to contest the county championship quarter-finals. Mullinahone-CJ Kickhams GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association located in Mullinahone, south County Tipperary, Ireland, close to the border with County Kilkenny. The Mullinahone Club is named in honour of Charles J. Kickham, "Poet and Patriot", who was born in the village.
