Swedish Football Champions
Swedish football champions ( sv, Svenska mästare i fotboll) is a title held by the winners of the highest Swedish football league played each year, Allsvenskan. Malmö FF are the holders of the record of most titles with 22 Swedish championships. After winning the 2021 Allsvenskan, Malmö FF are also the reigning Swedish football champions. The title has been contested since 1896 in varying forms of competition. The first Swedish Champions, Örgryte IS, were declared in 1896 when the club won the cup tournament Svenska Mästerskapet. This happened before there existed any Swedish national association, which was not created until 1904. The winners of Svenska Mästerskapet between 1896 and 1904 have retroactively been declared holders of the title by the Swedish Football Association (SvFF). Skövde AIK
Skövde AIK is a Swedish football club from Skövde. It was founded on 21 June 1919. The club is currently in Superettan. Background Skövde AIK has played 14 seasons in second tier Swedish football, the last time being as recently as 1995 in the Division 1 Södra. Eight seasons later the club had plunged into Division 5 Västergötland Östra, the sixth tier, having been relegated 3 consecutive times between 2000 and 2002. However SAIK have made a dramatic recovery and by 2007 were back in Division 1 Södra which is now the third tier of Swedish football after 4 consecutive promotions. In 2006, Skövde AIK won the Division 2 Mellersta Götaland after defeating IK Sleipner 2–1 in the decisive final match before 2364 spectators. Lunds BK
Lunds BK is a football club from Lund, Sweden founded in 1919. The club currently plays in Division 1 Södra. Despite their relative success Lunds BK has never competed in the Allsvenskan or Superettan, but has played nine seasons in the second highest level. The club is well known for their youth football programme and has managed numerous players such as Martin Dahlin and Roger Ljung who have progressed to major clubs. History The team was first formed in 1919 when Lund GIF's youth players rebelled against their coach because they were not getting any playing time. The entire youth squad along with some players from IFK Lund were without club affiliation. Two youth players, Gustav 'Gast' Persson and Bertil Larsson requested Berndt Paulsson to form the new club. Idrottsklubben Sleipner is a sports club in Norrköping, Sweden; the main sports are football and ten-pin bowling. It was founded in 1903, and named after the deity Odin's horse Sleipnir from Norse mythology. Currently, the club's senior men's team plays football in Division 2. They are mostly known for winning Allsvenskan in 1938, but have since been overshadowed by local rivals IFK Norrköping both locally and nationally. FK Karlskrona is a Swedish football club located in Karlskrona. Background The club was formed on October 31, 2012, as a result of the merger of Lyckeby GoIF and Karlskrona AIF. Spårvägens FF is a Swedish football club located in Skarpnäck in the southern part of Stockholm. Background Spårvägens FF is part of Spårvägens GoIF, a sports club that was founded in 1919 by employees of Stockholm's Spårvägar. The club formed a football section in 1969.
