1993 United States Figure Skating Championships
The 1993 U.S. Figure Skating Championships was held in Phoenix, Arizona. Medals were awarded in four colors: gold (first), silver (second), bronze (third), and pewter (fourth) in four disciplines – men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing – across three levels: senior, junior, and novice. The event was also used to determine the U.S. teams for the 1993 World Championships. Lisa Ervin
Lisa Ervin (born April 20, 1977) is an American former figure skater. She was a member of the 1992 US Olympic Team. She won three consecutive silver medals at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships from 1991 to 1993 and is the 1993 US National silver medalist. She was coached by Carol Heiss Jenkins and originally trained by Melissa Smith at the Charleston Civic Center Ice Arena. Due to an eating disorder, she chose to retire from competitive skating. Amy Webster (born March 3, 1969) is a former American ice dancer. Webster began her skating career in Yarmouth, Maine. With partner Ron Kravette, she won the bronze medal at the United States Figure Skating Championships in 1994 and 1995, and finished fourth in 1993 and 1997. Webster and Kravette won the gold medal at the 1993 United States Olympic Festival in San Antonio, and were the alternate pair for the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. Jerod Swallow (born October 18, 1966) is an American ice dancing, ice dancer. With his wife Elizabeth Punsalan, he is a five-time United States Figure Skating Championships, U.S. national champion, two-time Skate America champion, and competed twice in the Winter Olympics. Personal life Jerod Swallow was born October 18, 1966 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He married Elizabeth Punsalan in September 1993. Elizabeth Punsalan or Swallow (born January 9, 1971) is an American former competitive ice dancer. With her husband Jerod Swallow, she is a five-time U.S. national champion, two-time Skate America champion, and competed twice in the Winter Olympics. Personal life Elizabeth Punsalan was born in Syracuse, New York. Her father, Ernesto, moved from the Philippines to the United States as a medical student and became a surgeon. She married Jerod Swallow in September 1993. Her younger brother, Ricky, was charged in the death of their father, who was fatally stabbed on February 4, 1994, but he was found mentally unfit to stand trial. Susan Wynne
Susan Elizabeth "Susie" Wynne (born March 6, 1965 in Syracuse, New York) is an American former ice dancing, ice dancer and current figure skating analyst and commentator. She competed at the 1988 Winter Olympics with Joseph Druar. The duo won the gold medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships twice. She later competed with Russ Witherby. Since retiring from skating, she has worked as a television figure skating analyst for the Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox and American Broadcasting Company, ABC networks. Todd Sand (born October 30, 1963) is an American pair skater. With his wife Jenni Meno, he is the 1998 World silver medalist, a two-time World bronze medalist (1995, 1996), and a three-time U.S. national champion (1994–96).
