1993 Indonesian Grand Prix
The 1993 Indonesian Grand Prix was a Formula Brabham race held on August 21–22, 1993 at the Sentul International Circuit near Citeureup, Indonesia. It was the first round of a two event Pan-Pacific series for the Australian-based Formula Brabham category. Summary The 1993 was the first race held at the newly constructed state-owned Sentul International Circuit, built in an attempt to secure a Formula One Grand Prix from 1994 onwards. With no local form of open wheel motor racing occurring in Indonesia (as it had been several years since a motor racing circuit had operated in the country), organisers looked into importing a field of racing. Formula Holden was an Australian open wheel racing category introduced in 1989. History Known during its development as Formula Australia, it was initially for chassis constructed from aluminium only, running a 3.8-litre Buick V6 engine as it was then utilised in the new versions of the Holden Commodore (VN). He is the younger brother of Ananda Mikola, another former racing driver. Moreno Soeprapto also was the former member of Minardi F1 academy team in 2004. Crash Soeprapto was involved in a car crash in 2006 at Sentul during the Asian Formula Three Championship when he drove into the rear of James Winslow. Winslow's car was damaged and he was pushed off onto the gravel, but Soeprapto's car rolled with the impact, landing on its side. Winslow left his car to investigate Soeprapto's condition and found him trapped in the car, with a broken fuel line spilling gasoline. Ralt was a manufacturer of single-seater racing cars, founded by ex-Jack Brabham associate Ron Tauranac after he sold out his interest in Brabham to Bernie Ecclestone.
