The 1992–93 NHL season, 1992–93 Minnesota North Stars season was the North Stars' Minnesota North Stars seasons, 26th and final season (sports), season of the franchise in Minnesota. Although the team improved on its previous season and finished only two games below .500, it was only good enough in fifth place in the Norris Division. Minnesota finished three points behind St. Louis Blues, St. Louis for the final playoff spot in the division. Four North Stars (Russ Courtnall, Ulf Dahlen, Dave Gagner and Mike Modano) reached the 30-goal plateau. Jeff Bes
Jeff Bes (born July 31, 1973) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey player who played several seasons with the Laredo Bucks. Bes has played for many minor league teams such as the Dayton Bombers, Chicago Wolves, Mississippi Sea Wolves, Orlando Solar Bears, Jacksonville Lizard Kings, SaiPa and several other teams including the Dukes of Hamilton. He also coaches in the Southern Professional Hockey League. Playing career Junior Born in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Bes started playing hockey at age 2. He began his junior career in 1990–91, playing for the Dukes of Hamilton of the Ontario Hockey League. He would score 23 goals and 47 assists for 70 points. His time with Hamilton would be short lived as the following season they became the Guelph Storm. The 1992–93 Montreal Canadiens season was the team's 76th season in the National Hockey League (NHL) and their 84th overall. Coming off of a disappointing second round playoff exit against the Boston Bruins during the 1991–92 season, the third-straight season Boston had defeated Montreal in the playoffs, the Canadiens were champions for the 1992–93 season. The 1992–93 Canadiens remain the last Canadian-based team to win the Stanley Cup, having won the 1993 Stanley Cup Finals. The 1992–93 Calgary Flames season was the 13th National Hockey League season in Calgary. The Flames rebounded from their disappointing 1991–92 season, finishing 2nd in the Smythe Division, four points behind the Vancouver Canucks. The Flames met the Los Angeles Kings in the Smythe Division semi-finals. The series was an offensive showdown, with the Flames setting team records for most goals scored in a six-game series (28) and most goals against (33). Jeff Romfo (born February 9, 1974) is an American former professional ice hockey and roller hockey right winger. Career Romfo was drafted 226th overall by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft from Blaine High School.
