The 1992 Croatian Football Cup was the first season of Croatia's modern football knockout competition. The teams in Bold won. NK Inter Zaprešić
Nogometni klub Inter Zaprešić was a Croatian professional football club based in Zaprešić, a town northwest of the capital Zagreb. The team are nicknamed ''Keramičari'' (The ceramics makers), because they were sponsored by a ceramics factory through much of their history) or ''Div iz predgrađa'' (The giant from the suburb). Zoran Živković (born 12 September 1967) is a Croatian former footballer who played as a defender and made one appearance for the Croatia national team. Career Živković earned his first and only cap for Croatia on 25 June 1993 in a friendly against Ukraine. Ivan Cvjetković
Ivan Cvjetković (born 2 January 1960) is a retired Croatian international footballer. Club career Ivan started his career in the Yugoslav First League in 1982, playing in the Bosnian club Sloboda Tuzla. In 1984, he made a big move to the Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb, where he will stay almost four seasons until January 1988, the only exception was the half season spend in Serbian club FK Rad. Then he moved abroad to Belgium to play in Sint-Truidense VV, where he will stay until January 1991. Then, he returned to Croatia, now already independent, and signed for Prva HNL club Inter Zaprešić. Penalty Shootout (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. Balls successfully kicked into the goal during a shoot-out do not count as goals for the individual kickers or the team, and are tallied separately from the goals scored during normal play (including extra time, if any). Daniel Šarić
Daniel Šarić (born 4 August 1972 in Rijeka) is a Croatian retired footballer who played as a right wingback. His name is sometimes spelled as Danijel Šarić. Club career Born in Rijeka, Šarić started his professional career at local club NK Rijeka back in 1989. He went on to move to Spanish club Sporting de Gijón in 1993 and subsequently returned to Croatia by signing with Dinamo Zagreb in 1995. After five years with Dinamo, he went on to move abroad once again by signing with Greek club Panathinaikos for the 2000–01 season. He stayed at Panathinaikos until the summer of 2003 and then returned to his home town by signing a four-year contract with NK Rijeka. He retired in July 2007 after the contract expired. Slobodan ( sr-Cyrl, Слободан) is a Serbo-Croatian masculine given name which means "free" (''sloboda'' / meaning "freedom, liberty") used among other South Slavs as well. It was coined by Serbian liberal politician Vladimir Jovanović who, inspired by John Stuart Mill's essay ''On Liberty'' baptised his son as Slobodan in 1869 and his daughter Pravda (Justice) in 1871. Dražen Ladić (; born 1 January 1963) is a Croatian professional football coach and former player who is the current assistant manager of the Croatia national team. Playing career Club Ladić was born in Čakovec, but grew up in the nearby village of Gornji Hrašćan and started his career at NK Varteks in 1977, transferring to the club's senior squad in 1980. He left Varteks for Dinamo Zagreb in 1984, but the club decided to loan him to Iskra Bugojno for two seasons immediately after they signed him. He eventually made his debut for Dinamo in July 1986 and stayed at the club until the end of his playing career nearly 14 years later, collecting a record-holding total of 802 appearances in official matches. Đakovo
Đakovo (; hu, Diakovár) is a town in the region of Slavonia, Croatia. Đakovo is the centre of the fertile and rich Đakovo region ( hr, Đakovština ).
