1991 Wimbledon Championships – Women's Doubles
Larisa Savchenko and Natasha Zvereva defeated the defending champion Jana Novotná and her partner Gigi Fernández in the final, 6–4, 3–6, 8–6 to win the ladies' doubles tennis title at the 1991 Wimbledon Championships. Novotná and Helena Suková were the defending champions, but did not play together. Suková partnered Arantxa Sánchez Vicario, but lost in the quarterfinals to Martina Navratilova and Pam Shriver. Larisa Neiland
Larisa Savchenko-Neiland ( uk, Лариса Савченко-Нейланд, lv, Larisa Savčenko-Neilande; née Savchenko; also Larisa Neiland; born 21 July 1966) is a retired tennis player who represented the Soviet Union, Ukraine and Latvia. A former world number-one-ranked doubles player, Neiland won two Grand Slam women's doubles and four mixed doubles titles. She also won two singles titles and 63 doubles titles on the WTA Tour. She is listed in fourth place for the most doubles match wins (766) in WTA history, after Lisa Raymond, Rennae Stubbs and Liezel Huber. Patty Fendick
Patty Fendick (born March 31, 1965) is a former professional tennis player and the former women's tennis program head coach at University of Texas. Born in Sacramento, California, she played at the collegiate level at Stanford University, where the team won the NCAA team title three times. In 1987, she was named ITA Player of the Year, when on the Stanford tennis team she had a 57-match winning streak. She won two NCAA singles titles in 1986 and 1987. She won the Broderick Award (now the Honda Sports Award) as the nation's top collegiate tennis player in 1987. Her playing accomplishments, as a collegiate and professional player, has elevated her being inducted into the Stanford Hall of Fame and also recognized as the Most Outstanding Student-Athlete of the first 25 years of NCAA women's tennis. Lise Gregory (born 29 August 1963) is a South African former tennis player who played primarily doubles. She played left-handed. Her career-high doubles ranking in 1990 was no. 18. She reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open and was one of the top eight teams participating in the year-end Virginia Slims Championships. She played in college for the University of Miami, earning seven NCAA All-American awards in both singles and doubles and the NCAA doubles championship in 1986 with long-time doubles partner Ronni Reis. Claudia Kohde-Kilsch (''née'' Kohde; born 11 December 1963) is a former German tennis player and member of the Die Linke. During her tennis career, she won two women's doubles Grand Slam titles. She also won eight singles titles and a total of 25 doubles titles. Personal life Kohde-Kilsch was born Claudia Kohde in Saarbrücken, but added the hyphenated "-Kilsch" to her name which came from her adoptive father Jürgen Kilsch, an attorney.
