Croatian Dinar
The dinar was the currency of Croatia between 23 December 1991 and 30 May 1994. The ISO 4217 code was . History The Croatian dinar replaced the 1990 version of the Yugoslav dinar at par. It was a transitional currency introduced following Croatia's declaration of independence. During its existence, the dinar declined in value by a factor of about 70. The dinar was replaced by the kuna at a rate of 1 kuna = 1000 dinara. The currency was not used in the occupied territories comprising the Republic of Serbian Krajina. Banknotes The obverse of all banknotes was the same, with a picture of Croatian Dubrovnik scientist Ruđer Bošković. Notes up to 1000 dinara had the Zagreb cathedral on reverse. The higher denominations featured the Ivan Meštrović sculpture ''History of the Croats'' on the reverse. Gordan Lederer
Gordan Lederer (21 April 1958 – 9 August 1991) was a Croatian photographer and Croatian Radiotelevision cameraman killed during the Croatian War of Independence. Biography Lederer was born in Zagreb on 21 April 1958. His mother, Vlasta Lederer, was physician at the Zagreb hospital "Sveti Duh". After elementary and high school in Zagreb, he graduated photojournalism at the Yugoslav Journalism Institute in Belgrade. From 1983, Lederer studied film and television recording at the Academy of Dramatic Art, University of Zagreb from where he graduated in 1989. In 1986, Lederer started studying archeology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, and in 1989 he began postgraduate education at Inter-University Centre in Dubrovnik. Josip Reihl-Kir
Josip Tvrtko Reihl-Kir (25 July 1955 – 1 July 1991) was a Croatian police chief from Osijek known for his peacemaking initiatives in the opening stages of the Croatian War of Independence. He was assassinated in 1991; the man convicted of his murder, and the murder of two assembly members, was sentenced to a total of 70 years in prison in 2008, after being extradited to Croatia from Australia. Early life Josip Tvrtko Reihl-Kir was born in Sirač, PR Croatia, FPR Yugoslavia, the son of a Slavonian German (Danube Swabian) father and a Croatian mother, both Yugoslav Partisans during the World War II in Yugoslavia. Vinko Pintarić
Vinko Pintarić (3 April 1941 – 25 May 1991) was a Croatian serial killer and outlaw who murdered five people over the course of 17 years and escaped from prisons and police stakeouts on multiple occasions. His violent, vindictive nature and proficiency with firearms struck fear into inhabitants of Hrvatsko Zagorje, a region of northern Croatia where he spent years at large, hiding from the law enforcement and engaging in various crimes, until his 1991 death in a shootout with the police. Slavko Stolnik
Slavko Stolnik (11 June 1929 – 17 May 1991) was a Croatian naive painter and sculptor. Life Stolnik was born in the village of Donja Voća near Varaždin. Interested in painting since childhood, but born in poor peasant family, he did not have funds for education. Employed, first as a miner, then went to serve in the militia in Zagreb. Zvonko Lepetić
Zvonimir "Zvonko" Lepetić (17 November 1928 – 4 January 1991) was one of the leading character actors of Croatian and Yugoslav cinema and television. Lepetić was born in Berane, Montenegro. Since 1939, he lived in Sarajevo, where he graduated from gymnasium and was later enrolled at the Drama Studio (''Dramski studio''). In 1953 he joined the Sarajevo National Theatre. After short acting stints in Buje, Šibenik and Zadar, in 1963 Lepetić joined the Croatian National Theatre in Split, where he stayed until 1968 and his move to Zagreb. Monika Babok (born November 30, 1991) is a Croatian swimmer, who specialized in freestyle and butterfly events. She represented her nation Croatia at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and has won a silver medal in the 50 m butterfly (27.48) at the 2007 European Junior Swimming Championships in Antwerp, Belgium. Babok was a member of the SMU Mustangs swimming and diving team, and a graduate of sports management at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Franka Batelić (born 7 June 1992), also known as Franka, is a Croatian singer-songwriter. She rose to fame as the winner of the first season of ''Showtime''. Andrej Kramarić
Andrej Kramarić (; born 19 June 1991) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a forward or attacking midfielder for Bundesliga club 1899 Hoffenheim and the Croatia national team. Kramarić started his football career in his hometown club Dinamo Zagreb and holds the record as the top youth goalscorer in the club's history.
