1991 European Curling Championships
The 1991 European Curling Championships were held from December 8 to 14 at the Patinoire de Chamonix in Chamonix, France. Teams from Germany won both the men's and women's event. On the men's side, Roland Jentsch won his only European Championship of his career. It was Germany's second men's title. Chamonix
Chamonix-Mont-Blanc ( frp, Chamôni), more commonly known as Chamonix, is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France. It was the site of the first Winter Olympics in 1924. In 2019, it had a population of 8,640. Situated to the north of Mont Blanc, between the peaks of the Aiguilles Rouges and the notable Aiguille du Midi, Chamonix is one of the oldest ski resorts in France. Anette Norberg
Anette Norberg (born 12 November 1966) is a retired Swedish curler from Härnösand. She and her team were the Olympic women's curling champions in 2006 and 2010. After winning the 2006 Women's Curling tournament in Turin over Mirjam Ott's Swiss team, she led her team to victory for gold over Cheryl Bernard's Canadian team in the 2010 Women's Curling tournament in Vancouver; becoming the first skip in the history of curling to successfully defend an Olympic title. Tormod Andreassen (born 29 March 1951) is a Norwegian curler and curling coach. Andreassen has skipped Norway at 3 World Championships (1986, 1993 and 1994), finishing sixth place each time.
