The 1991 Australia rugby union tour of New Zealand consisted of two matches played by the Wallabies in August 1991. This tour was made two weeks after the New Zealand tour of Australia. Australia National Rugby Union Team
The Australia national rugby union team, nicknamed the Wallabies, is the representative national team in the sport of rugby union for the nation of Australia. The team first played at Sydney in 1899, winning their first test match against the touring British Isles team. Australia have competed in all nine Rugby World Cups, winning the final on two occasions and also finishing as runner-up twice. Australia beat England at Twickenham in the final of the 1991 Rugby World Cup and won again in 1999 at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff when their opponents in the final were France. The Wallabies also compete annually in The Rugby Championship (formerly the Tri-Nations), along with southern hemisphere counterparts Argentina, New Zealand and South Africa. Marty Roebuck
Marty Roebuck (born 10 January 1965 in Lithgow, New South Wales) is an Australian former rugby union footballer who represented New South Wales Waratahs and the Australian Wallabies as a fullback. Early life and education Roebuck was educated at St Stanislaus College, Bathurst; the University of Sydney's Cumberland ( Faculty of Health Sciences) Campus, Lidcombe; and University of Notre Dame Australia, Sydney, Darlinghurst. Career Roebuck was a physiotherapist and played rugby in his spare time when the game was an amateur sport. Tony Daly
Tony Daly (born 7 March 1966 in West Pymble, Australia) is a former Australian rugby union footballer who represented Australia in 41 Test matches. He played for Eastern Suburbs, Gordon, Randwick, Manly, Brothers and Saracens at prop. He represented Australia between 1989 and 1995. One of the four tries he ever scored for Australia was in the 1991 Rugby World Cup final against England which Australia won 12–6. Daly also went with Australia to the 1995 Rugby World Cup and played several Bledisloe Cup matches against the All Blacks. Phil Kearns
Philip Nicholas Kearns (born 27 June 1967) is an Australian former rugby union player. He represented the Wallabies 67 times and was captain on ten occasions. He is a rugby commentator with the Fox Sports TV channel. Biography Kearns was born in Sydney Australia and educated at Newington College (1979–84) and the University of New South Wales where he graduated with an Arts degree, majoring in Economics. He played his provincial rugby for New South Wales. He made his Wallaby debut in 1989. He enjoyed a rivalry on the pitch with New Zealand's Sean Fitzpatrick. Ewen McKenzie
Ewen James Andrew McKenzie (born 21 June 1965) is an Australian professional rugby union coach and a former international rugby player. He played for Australia's World Cup winning team in 1991 and earned 51 caps for the Wallabies during his test career. McKenzie was head coach of the Australian team from 2013 to 2014. Rod McCall
Roderick James McCall (born 20 September 1963, in Brisbane) is a former Australian rugby union lock. McCall played for Australia from 1989 to 1995, including winning the 1991 Rugby World Cup. He played 40 times in total for Australia. He played 107 times for the Queensland Reds. McCall made his début for Australia at age 25 on 4 November 1989 in a game against the French, the game was won by Australia, 32 points to 15 in Strasbourg. John Eales AM (born 27 June 1970) is an Australian former rugby union player and the most successful captain in the history of Australian rugby. In 1999, he became one of the first players to win multiple Rugby World Cups. Early life Eales went to school at Marist College Ashgrove, in Ashgrove. Simon Paul Poidevin (born 31 October 1958) is a former Australian rugby union player. Poidevin made his Test debut for Australia against Fiji during the 1980 tour of Fiji. He was a member of the Wallabies side that defeated New Zealand 2–1 in the 1980 Bledisloe Cup series. He toured with the Eighth Wallabies for the 1984 Australia rugby union tour of Britain and Ireland that won rugby union's "grand slam", the first Australian side to defeat all four home nations, England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland, on a tour. Viliami Ofahengaue (born 3 May 1968 in Kolofoou, Tonga), widely known as Willie O, is a former rugby union player who earned 41 caps for the Australian Wallabies from 1990 to 1998, and played in the World Cups of 1991 and 1995 as well as the 1993 World Cup Sevens. Ofahengaue attended Tupou College Toloa in Tonga.
