Conquistador (Da Vinci Song)
The Eurovision Song Contest 1989 was the 34th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Lausanne, Switzerland, following Céline Dion's victory at the with the song "Ne partez pas sans moi". Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG SSR), the contest was held at Palais de Beaulieu on 6 May 1989 and was hosted by Swiss model Lolita Morena and journalist Jacques Deschenaux. Twenty-two countries took part in the contest with returning after having been disqualified the year before. The winner was with the song " Rock Me" by Croatian band Riva. This was the only victory for Yugoslavia as a unified state. As of 2022 they are still the last act to win the contest performing last. Location Lausanne is a city in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, and the capital and biggest city of the canton of Vaud. Carlos Manuel Guedes dos Santos (born 31 March 1989) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played mainly as a central defender but also as a left back. Club career Born in Barroselas, Viana do Castelo District, Santos spent the vast majority of his career in the lower leagues. In 2012, he signed with Boavista F.C. of the third division. At the end of 2013–14, and due to the consequences of the ''Apito Dourado'' affair, the club was promoted straight into the Primeira Liga. He made his debut in the competition on 14 September 2014 at the age of 25, playing the full 90 minutes in a 1–0 home win against Académica de Coimbra, and finished his first season with two goals in 25 matches to help his team easily retain their league status. Vasco André Moreira da Rocha (born 29 January 1989) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for C.D. Trofense as a midfielder. The 1989–90 Primeira Divisão was the 56th edition of top flight of Portuguese football. It started on 20 August 1989 with a match between Chaves and Penafiel, and ended on 20 May 1990. Da Vinci is a Portuguese band created by Iei-Or and Pedro Luís Neves, whose members included Ricardo, Joaquim Andrade, Dora and Sandra Fidalgo, among others throughout the years.
