1988 New England Steamrollers Season
The New England Steamrollers season was the first and only season for the Arena Football League franchise. Concert and fight promoter, Frank J. Russo, and jeweler, Robert Andreoli, purchased a limited partnership from the Arena Football League to own the rights to a Providence, Rhode Island Providence is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Rhode Island. Babe Parilli
Vito "Babe" Parilli (May 7, 1930 – July 15, 2017) was an American football quarterback and coach who played professionally for 18 seasons. Parilli spent five seasons in the National Football League (NFL), three in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and 10 in the American Football League (AFL). He played college football at Kentucky, where he twice received consensus All-American honors and won two consecutive bowl games. Parilli achieved his greatest professional success in the AFL as the starting quarterback of the Boston Patriots from 1961 to 1967. He earned three All-Star Game selections, while leading the Patriots to their only AFL postseason and championship game appearance in 1963. Sylvester Bembery (born March 1, 1965) is a former American football lineman in the Arena Football League. Bembery, #78, was an offensive and defensive lineman for the Tampa Bay Storm from 1994–99, and once again joined the Storm for the 2001 campaign. College career Bembery started his career at the University of Central Florida, playing for them for four successful seasons. He was inducted into the UCF Hall of Fame in 2009. Christopher Brewer (born January 23, 1962) is a former American football running back who played two seasons in the National Football League with the Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears. Anthony Tyrone Slaton (born April 12, 1961) is a former American football center in the National Football League for the Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys. Gerald Rafferty (16 April 1947– 4 January 2011) was a Scottish people, Scottish singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. He was a founding member of Stealers Wheel, whose biggest hit was "Stuck in the Middle with You" in 1973.
