The GCC Champions League ( ar, دوري أبطال الخليج للأندية), formerly known as the Gulf Cup for Clubs ( ar, كأس الخليج للأندية), was an annually organized football league tournament for clubs of the Arabian peninsula. The tournament was first organized in 1982 and was last played in 2015, the 31st edition. Attempts to play the 2016 and 2017 editions failed. Fanja Sports Club ( ar, نادي فنجاء الرياضي; also known locally as ''Al-Malik'', or "The King" because of their great success, or just plainly as Fanja) is an Omani sports club based in Fanja, Oman. The club is currently playing in the Oman Professional League, top division of Oman Football Association. Their home ground is Al-Seeb Stadium. The stadium is government owned, but they also own their own personal stadium and sports equipment, as well as their own training facilities.
