Liga Nacional De Fútbol Profesional De Honduras
Liga Betcris de Honduras (''Honduran National Professional Football League'') is the highest division of football in Honduras. The league season is divided into Opening (autumn) and Closing (spring). One team is relegated to the Liga de Ascenso (the team with fewest points in Opening and Closing) and one team is promoted from Liga de Ascenso. The top four clubs participate in play-offs to decide the champion. The winners of the Opening and Closing competitions participate in the CONCACAF Champions League. Liga Nacional De Ascenso De Honduras
Liga de Ascenso (Promotion League) is the second division of Honduran football; it was founded on 17 December 1979 as ''Segunda División'' (Second Division) and renamed ''Liga de Ascenso'' (Promotion League) on 21 July 2002. The league is divided into 4 groups: ''Zona Norte y Atlántica'' (North and Atlantic Zone), ''Zona Norte y Occidente'' (North and West Zone), ''Zona Centro y Sur'' (Central and South Zone), ''Zona Sur y Oriente'' (South and East Zone). The top 2 teams of each group qualifies for the ''liguilla'' (play-offs). Each season is divided into two tournaments, ''apertura'' (opening) and ''clausura'' (closing). José Mauricio Fúnez Barrientos (born 10 March 1959), nicknamed ''El Güicho'', is a retired Honduran football midfielder. Julio César Arzú (born 5 June 1954) a.k.a. Tile is a retired Honduran football player. Club career Nicknamed ''Tile'', Arzú has played for Honduran side Real España, in Spain for Racing de Santander and had a spell with ADET in El Salvador. Eugenio Dolmo Flores
Mario Eugenio Dolmo Flores (born 31 July 1965 in Puerto Cortés) is a retired Honduran footballer. Club career Born in Puerto Cortés, Flores began his footballing career at local side Platense. He soon arrived to renowned Olimpia, where he would make his name later leaving for Santos Laguna. In November 2012 he was nominated to become a "Guerrero de Honor" (Warrior of Honour) of Santos. He also had a season in Peru with Universitario, where he played alongside compatriot César Obando, and in Costa Rica with Alajuelense. After a few seasons back in Honduras he retired after playing on 26 May 2001 for Broncos then moved abroad again to play in El Salvador with Isidro Metapán in the 2002 Clausura. He was later dismissed by Nicaraguans Real Estelí in October 2003 and duly finished his career. Belarmino Rivera Jimminson (born 1956) is a retired Honduran football player. Club career ''Nino'' Rivera played for Olimpia, Sula, Platense, Victoria and Real Maya in the Honduran national league. He made his debut with Olimpia in 1975 and finished his career with Real Maya in 1997, aged 42. His final league game was on 30 August 1997 against Marathón. Prudencio Norales Martínez (born 20 April 1956) is a retired Honduran football midfielder who played for Honduras in the 1982 FIFA World Cup. Club career Nicknamed ''Tecate'', Norales also played for Olimpia. He is one of the few players who scored four goals in a Honduran league game, against Atlético Portuario in October 1979.
