Allsvenskan (; en, the All-Swedish, also known as Fotbollsallsvenskan, en, the Football All-Swedish) is a Swedish professional league for men's association football clubs. It was founded in 1924 and is the top tier of the Swedish football league system, operating on a system of promotion and relegation with Superettan. Seasons run from late March or early April to the beginning of November, with the 16 clubs all meeting each other twice, resulting in a 30-match season, for a total of 240 matches league-wide. Allsvenskan is ranked 23rd in the UEFA coefficients of leagues based on performances in European competitions over the last five years. Örgryte Idrottssällskap, commonly referred to as Örgryte IS, Örgryte () or (especially locally) ÖIS or Öis, is a Swedish sports club based in Gothenburg. It consists of four departments, namely bowling, football, athletics and wrestling. However, the club is best known for its football department. It is the oldest football club in Sweden. The club was founded in 1887 which makes it the oldest active sports club in the country. Ullevi, sometimes known as Nya Ullevi (, ''New Ullevi''), is a multi-purpose stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden. Borås ( , , ) is a city (officially, a locality) and the seat of Borås Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 66,273 inhabitants in 2010. Ryavallen is a multi-purpose stadium in Borås, Sweden, mainly used for soccer and track and field athletics. It was inaugurated on 17 August 1941 with a soccer game where IF Elfsborg defeated Team Sweden, 2–1. It was the home ground for IF Elfsborg until 2005, when the Borås Arena was Inaugurated. Örjans Vall is a football stadium in Halmstad, Sweden, built in 1922. History The stadium was originally named ''Halmstads Idrottsplats'' (eng: Halmstad's Sports Ground), and was inaugurated by the Crown Prince of Sweden Gustaf Adolf, later king of Sweden, on 30 July 1922. 12,000 people had been allowed entrance to see the opening, several thousands more had gathered outside the fence and on ''Galgberget''. Söderstadion
Söderstadion ''(translated in English as Southern Stadium)'' was a football and bandy stadium in Stockholm, Sweden. It was opened in 1966 and closed in 2013, being replaced by nearby Tele2 Arena. Söderstadion had a capacity of 12,800 depending on usage. A record attendance of 22,000 was set on 31 October 1982, when Hammarby IF faced IFK Göteborg. There had already existed stadiums at the site, the earliest opened in 1918 under the name Johanneshovs Idrottsplats. After the stadium was closed, the site will now be used for new apartment buildings. Bandy was played at Söderstadion wintertime until 1989 and the Swedish championship final was traditionally played there. 1984–85 European Cup Winners' Cup
The 1984–85 season of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, European Cup Winners' Cup was won by Everton F.C., Everton in the final against SK Rapid Wien, Rapid Wien. Everton also won the English Football League that season and would therefore have entered the UEFA Champions League, European Cup the 1985–86 European Cup, following season. However, Everton were unable to do so due to the newly enacted 5-year ban on English clubs participating in European competitions as a consequence of the Heysel stadium disaster in May of the same year. Everton's 1985 trophy win was therefore the last English club success in European competition until Manchester United F.C., Manchester United won this competition again in 1990–91 European Cup Winners' Cup, 1991.
