Czechoslovak First League
The Czechoslovak First League ( cs, 1. fotbalová liga, sk, 1. futbalová liga) was the premier football league in the Czechoslovakia from 1925 to 1993, with the exception of World War II. Czechoslovakia was occupied by German forces who formed Gauliga Sudetenland and Gauliga Böhmen und Mähren leagues on occupied territories. Until the 1934-35 season, no teams from Slovakia participated in the league. Czechs were allowed to run their own league in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, while Slovaks were granted their own independent Slovak State and created their own league. After the World War II the league was recreated. Description The league was dominated by clubs from Prague with Sparta Prague winning 19 titles, Dukla Prague 11 and Slavia Prague 9. The attendance record for the league was set on 4 September 1965, when 50,105 spectators attended a match between rivals Sparta and Slavia in Prague. FK Inter Bratislava
FK Inter Bratislava () is a football club based in Bratislava, Slovakia, temporarily playing its home matches in Stupava. History Inter Bratislava was founded in 1940 by the Apollo refinery (later renamed Slovnaft). Following the end of World War II and the re-establishment of Czechoslovakia, the club developed into an important force in Czechoslovak football. While it remains unclear, whether it is Inter Bratislava or FK ŠKP Inter Dúbravka Bratislava, who can claim the successful run of Červená Hviezda Bratislava in the 1950s and early 1960s as its own, club's achievements in the subsequent decades (as TJ Internacionál Slovnaft Bratislava) can be hardly disputed. Milan Albrecht (born 16 July 1950) is a retired Slovak footballer. During his career he played for Jednota Trenčín, before finishing with Baník Ostrava and Vítkovice. Evžen Hadamczik
Evžen Hadamczik (28 October 1939 – 19 September 1984) was a Czech football manager and former player. He was responsible for the Golden Era of Baník Ostrava football club, winning the Czechoslovak First League in 1980 and 1981 with them. FK Hvězda Cheb
FK Hvězda Cheb is a Czech football club, playing in the town of Cheb. The club was founded in 1951 and refounded in 2001 after a bankruptcy in 1996. The club played for 13 consecutive seasons in the Czechoslovak First League between 1979 and 1992, and played three seasons in the Czech First League, finishing fourth in the 1993–94 season. The club played in the third-tier Bohemian Football League between 2006 and 2008. It currently plays in the Czech Fourth Division. The club also had appearances in Europe playing the Mitropa Cup in 1980 and in Intertoto Cup 1981, in which it won its group. The club announced a change in its name from Union Cheb to Hvězda Cheb in 2011. FC Spartak Trnava () is a Slovak professional Association football, football club based in Trnava. TTS Trenčín
TTS Trenčín was a Slovak football club, playing in the town of Trenčín. History The club was founded in 1904 as Trencsény Torna Egyesület (TTE). TTS Trenčín first played in the top flight of Slovakia during World War II, when Slovak and Czech competitions were separated. During the sixties the team returned to the top flight, under new name Jednota Trenčín. The best place was in 1963 when the club became second after Dukla Prague. In 1966 and 1968 the team participated in the Mitropa Cup. In 1972 the club was relegated. After three seasons Jednota returned and played in the top flight until 1980. After this the team could never return and was even relegated to the third level in 1981. However Jednota was promoted immediately and changed the name back to TTS. Football Club Viktoria Plzeň () is a Czech professional football club based in Plzeň. They play in the Czech First League, the top division of football in the country. FC Nitra is a Slovak association football club, playing in the town of Nitra. Established in 1909, FC Nitra is one of the oldest football clubs in Slovakia.
