1976–77 Albanian Cup
1976–77 Albanian Cup ( sq, Kupa e Shqipërisë) was the twenty-fifth season of Albania's annual cup competition. It began in August 1976 with the First Round and ended in May 1977 with the Final match. The winners of the competition qualified for the 1977-78 first round of the UEFA Cup. 17 Nëntori were the defending champions, having won their third Albanian Cup last season. The cup was won by 17 Nëntori. The rounds were played in a two-legged format similar to those of European competitions. If the aggregated score was tied after both games, the team with the higher number of away goals advanced. If the number of away goals was equal in both games, the match was decided by extra time and a penalty shootout, if necessary. Klubi i Futbollit Tirana (KF Tirana) is an Albanian football club based in the country's capital city, Tirana. The men's football club is part of the multi-disciplinary sports club SK Tirana, and is the most successful in Albania, having won 54 recognized major domestic trophies. KF Luftëtari (), also known as Luftëtari FC or simply Luftëtari was an Albanian football club based in Gjirokastër, southern Albania. Petrit Dibra
Petrit Dibra (born 15 September 1953 in Tiranë) is an Albanian former footballer who spent his entire career at his hometown club 17 Nëntori Tirana (present day KF Tirana) as a forward. Club career Early career Dibra was born in Tiranë into an intellectual family as the only brother among three sisters, and attended the Alqi Kondi School before enrolling at the Qemal Stafa High School. While at the Alqi Kondi School he was a successful athlete, competing in the 60m and 100m where he was schoolboy champion at the time. He began playing football near his home where former 17 Nëntori Tirana player Aurel Verria would train youngsters. He was also a member of the Pallati i Pionerëve team that won the Durrës pioneers tournament under the guidance of coach Osman Reçi. Tiranë
Tirana ( , ; aln, Tirona) is the capital and largest city of Albania. Qemal Stafa Stadium
The Qemal Stafa Stadium ( sq, Stadiumi Qemal Stafa), named after Qemal Stafa (1920–1942), a Albanian Resistance of World War II, World War II hero, was a national stadium and the largest football (soccer), football stadium in Tirana, Albania. Construction started in 1939 and the stadium was inaugurated in 1946 for the Balkan Cup 1946, Balkan Cup, which was won by the Albania national football team. The stadium has been used for football matches of the Albanian Superliga and the national team, athletics (sport), athletic events, and the six Spartakiad (Albania), Albanian Spartakiads. Shyqyri Ballgjini (born 14 March 1954) is a former Albanian footballer, who spent the most of his career, except one season, playing with Dinamo Tirana, as well as Albania national football team, Albania. During his career, Ballgjini has scored more than 100 league goals and more than 50 Republic cup goals. Club career He was part of the 'Golden Age' of Dinamo, forming a successful offensive partnership Vasillaq Zëri and Ilir Përnaska which is considered to be the best offensive trio in Dinamo's history. Vasillaq Zëri
Vasillaq Zëri (4 August 1952 – 25 January 2019) was an Albanian footballer of Greek origin, who played as a striker. Club career Born in Tirana, Zëri started his career with hometown club Shkëndija and was part of the 'Golden Age' of Dinamo Tirana between 1974 and 1988, where under the guidance of Skënder Jareci the club dominated Albanian football, winning five championships and three Albanian Cups. Known for his dribbling skills and being able to play the ball with both feet, Zëri formed a successful offensive partnership with Ilir Përnaska and Shyqyri Ballgjini, which is considered to be the best offensive trio in Dinamo's history. KF Tomori is an Albanian football club based in the city of Berat. The club's home ground is the Tomori Stadium and they currently participate in the Kategoria e Parë. History The sport of football was introduced to the city of Berat in the early 1910s by students who had completed their studies abroad. They brought back footballs and the rules of the game from their travels which they then passed onto the locals. As early as 1913, amateur neighbourhood teams were formed, such as Çunat e Lumit, Vakëfi, Kalaja and Opinga. KF Shkëndija Tiranë is an Albanian football club based in Tirana, and is the football team of the Sports mastery school Loro Boriçi. The academy is famous for being one of the most successful in the country and has produced 35 Albanian international footballers.
