Margrethe II Of Denmark
Margrethe II (; Margrethe Alexandrine Þórhildur Ingrid, born 16 April 1940) is Queen of Denmark. Having reigned as Denmark's monarch for over 50 years, she is Europe's longest-serving current head of state and the world's only incumbent female monarch following the death of Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom. Born into the House of Glücksburg, a cadet branch of the House of Oldenburg, Margrethe is the eldest child of Frederick IX of Denmark and Ingrid of Sweden. She became heir presumptive to her father in 1953, when a constitutional amendment allowed women to inherit the throne. Margrethe succeeded her father upon his death on 14 January 1972. On her accession, she became the first female monarch of Denmark since Margrethe I, ruler of the Scandinavian kingdoms in 1375–1412 during the Kalmar Union. Ingeborg Frederiksen
Ingeborg Dorthea Frederiksen (9 May 1886 – 29 December 1976) was a Danish painter and botanical illustrator who is remembered for her accurate depictions of flora and fauna in Denmark and Greenland. She painted watercolours of Danish birds and flowers and published drawings of the country's principal trees. For a lengthy period, she provided assistance with the ornithological collections at the Danish Zoological Museum. In 1957, she illustrated ''Grøonlands Flora''. Biography Born in the village of Fangel, Odense Municipality, on the Danish island of Funen, Ingeborg Dorthea Frederiksen was the daughter of the carpenter Henrik Frederiksen and his wife Catherine Marie née Caspersen. Niels August Theodor Kaj Gottlob, usually known as Kaj Gottlob, (9 November 1887 – 12 May 1976) was a Danish architect who contributed much to Neoclassicism and Functionalism both as professor of the School of Architects at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and as a royal building inspector. Early life After qualifying from Borgerdyd School in 1905, Gottlob attended the Technical School (1905-1908) and the Royal Academy, graduating as an architect in 1914. At the time, he was one of the young neoclassicists who used to meet at the Free Architecture Society (''Den fri Architektforening''). He taught at the Technical School (1915–17) and was an assistant at the Royal Academy's Building School (1917–24). Cathrine Grage
Cathrine Grage (born 13 October 1976) is a Danish speedskater, inline skater and cyclist. As of January 2012, Grage has set a total of 61 successive national records, and holds all of the Danish women's records in speed skating, at all distances. In addition, she holds various national samalogue records, though not all of these have been ratified by the Danish skating association. Career Grange began inline skating at the age of 7. She began her competitive career in 2001, at the age of 25. Grage skated the World Inline Cup for two seasons. Her best results were 5th in Glarus and 11th in Seoul. She has more than 20 national titles on inline skates and she has won the Master World Championships one time and the Master European Championships 4 times. She participated in the European Championships in Heerde 2004, where she placed 8th on the 1,000 m and 13th in the points. Anker Jørgensen
Anker Henrik Jørgensen (13 July 1922 – 20 March 2016) was a Danish politician who served at various times as Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Denmark. Between 1972 and 1982 he led five cabinets as Prime Minister. Jørgensen was President of the Nordic Council in 1986 and 1991. He led or represented the Social Democratic Party for well over 30 years. His legacy is ambivalent. Politically, he is considered by many right wing followers to have been largely unsuccessful, having failed to mitigate the impact of the economic crisis of the 1970s and 1980s. Jon Dahl Tomasson
Jon Dahl Tomasson (; born 29 August 1976) is a Danish football manager and former player who is the current head coach of EFL Championship club Blackburn Rovers. A forward, his most notable run of football came in his first stint at Feyenoord, with whom he won the 2002 UEFA Cup, and Italian club AC Milan, with whom he won the UEFA Champions League in 2003 and reached the final in 2005. He also played top-flight football in England, Germany and Spain.
