The 1975–76 Liga Femenina de Baloncesto was the 13th edition of the Spanish premier women's basketball championship. Twelve teams took part in the championship and Evax Picadero won its second title. Medina Madrid and CREFF Girona were relegated. Hispano Italiano and Medina Bilbao renounced at the end of the season. Liga Femenina De Baloncesto
The Liga Femenina de Baloncesto, also known as Liga Femenina Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the highest level of sports league, league competition for women's basketball in Spain. It is the women's equivalent of the men's Liga ACB and is run by the Spanish Basketball Federation. The league was founded in 1964 and is played under FIBA rules. Throughout its history 13 clubs have been champions; CB Godella-Pool Getafe (with both names), Ros Casares Godella, Ros Casares and CB Avenida, Perfumerías Avenida have won the most championships, with eight. Picadero Jockey Club, also known until 1970 as Picadero Damm for sponsorship reasons, was a Spanish multisports club from Barcelona founded in 1951. Club Deportivo Bosco–Real Club Celta de Vigo Baloncesto is a Spanish women's basketball club from Vigo related to soccer, football club Celta de Vigo, that currently plays in the Liga Femenina de Baloncesto 2, Second League. History The club was founded in 1965 as Club Estudiantes de Vigo and became a section of the local football club Celta in 1969. Celta Vigo won three Liga Femenina de Baloncesto, national leagues and three Copa de la Reina de baloncesto, national cups between 1977 and 1984 including a double in 1982. Club Deportivo CREF is a women's basketball team based in Madrid that currently plays in the Spanish Liga Femenina de Baloncesto. History 1960–1980: CREFF Colegios Reunidos de Educación Física Femenina de Madrid was founded in 1960 by the Sección Femenina of the Movimiento Nacional, during the Francoism. Its women's basketball team dominated the early stages of the Spanish League, winning seven titles between 1964 and 1971, and representing Spain in the FIBA European Cup with few success. Back then the team was considered the Real Madrid of women's basketball, and it shared arena with Real Madrid's male basketball team.
