Czechoslovak First League
The Czechoslovak First League ( cs, 1. fotbalová liga, sk, 1. futbalová liga) was the premier football league in the Czechoslovakia from 1925 to 1993, with the exception of World War II. Czechoslovakia was occupied by German forces who formed Gauliga Sudetenland and Gauliga Böhmen und Mähren leagues on occupied territories. Until the 1934-35 season, no teams from Slovakia participated in the league. Czechs were allowed to run their own league in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, while Slovaks were granted their own independent Slovak State and created their own league. After the World War II the league was recreated. Description The league was dominated by clubs from Prague with Sparta Prague winning 19 titles, Dukla Prague 11 and Slavia Prague 9. The attendance record for the league was set on 4 September 1965, when 50,105 spectators attended a match between rivals Sparta and Slavia in Prague. FC Zbrojovka Brno is a professional football club based in the city of Brno, South Moravia, Czech Republic and named after Zbrojovka Brno, a firearms manufacturer. Marián Masný
Marián Masný (born 13 August 1950 in Rybany) is a Slovak former football player. He played for Czechoslovakia, for which he played 75 matches and scored 18 goals. His brother Vojtech was also football player. He was a participant at the 1976 UEFA European Championship, where Czechoslovakia won the gold medal, and at the 1980 UEFA European Championship where they came third and at the has a sticker in the album of the 1892 world cup 1982 FIFA World Cup. Masný started out at amateur football clubs Jednota Trenčin and then Dukla Banska Bystrica before joining professional team played Slovan Bratislava. Dušan Galis (born 24 November 1949) is a Slovak politician, a former Czechoslovak football player and a former manager of ŠK Slovan Bratislava. In Czechoslovak league he played 226 matches, scoring 89 goals. He was capped 8 times for Czechoslovakia, scoring 1 goal. FK Teplice is a Czech football club based in the city of Teplice. The club currently plays in the Czech First League. The club was founded after World War II in 1945.
