1974 Pacific Typhoon Season
The 1974 Pacific typhoon season was the first season on record to not feature a Saffir–Simpson scale#Category 5, Category 5 equivalent super typhoon; a feat later repeated by the 1977 Pacific typhoon season, 1977 and 2017 Pacific typhoon season, 2017 seasons. Even so, the season was overly active, with 32 tropical storms and 16 typhoons being developed this year. Apra Harbor
Apra Harbor, also called Port Apra, is a deep-water port on the western side of the United States territory of Guam. It is considered one of the best natural ports in the Pacific Ocean. The harbor is bounded by Cabras Island and the Glass Breakwater to the north and the Orote Peninsula in the south. Naval Base Guam and the Port of Guam are the two major users of the harbor. Miss Universe 1974 was the 23rd Miss Universe pageant, held on 21 July 1974 at the Folk Arts Theater in the Manila, City of Manila, Philippines.
