Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. Coritiba Foot Ball Club, commonly known as Coritiba and colloquially referred to as "Coxa-Branca" or "Coxa", is a Brazilian football club from Curitiba, capital city of the Brazilian state of Paraná. Centro de Ensino Unificado de Brasília Esporte Clube, commonly known as CEUB, were a Brazilian football club from Brasília. They won the Campeonato Brasiliense once and competed in the Série A three times. History They were founded in 1968, by college students of Centro de Ensino Unificado de Brasília (UniCEUB). The club won the Campeonato Brasiliense in 1973, when they beat Relações Exteriores in the final. They competed in the Série A in 1973, 1974 and in 1975. Campeonato Brasiliense is the football league of the Federal District, Brazil. It is organized by the Distrito Federal Football Federation. Teams from other states can be affiliated to the Distrito Federal Football Federation (FFDF) as long as they are located within 200 km from Brasília. This is the case of Associação Atlética Luziânia from the state of Goiás and Unaí Esporte Clube from the state of Minas Gerais. Campeonato Fluminense
The Campeonato Fluminense was the football league of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, during the period when the Guanabara state and the Rio de Janeiro state where two separated states. Until 1960, Rio de Janeiro city was the Brazilian capital and was not part of Rio de Janeiro state. In 1960, with the inauguration of Brasília as the new capital of Brazil, the city of Rio de Janeiro became the new Guanabara state. Only in 1975 the states of Rio de Janeiro and Guanabara fused forming present day's Rio de Janeiro state, but the Campeonato Fluminense continued separately until 1978, after which all its clubs joined the city league, the Campeonato Carioca. The Campeonato Cearense is the football league of the state of Ceará, Brazil. Format The Campeonato Cearense has three divisions with the following division and format (as in any other Brazilian soccer championship, the format can change every year): First Division The ten clubs play two legs. In each leg there are three stages: *First stage: All teams play each other one time. *Second stage: Two-legged knockout with the top 4 teams of the first stage (1st x 4th and 2nd x 3rd). *Third stage: Two-legged knockout with the second stage winners. The Campeonato Baiano is the football league of the state of Bahia, Brazil. The championship has been played since 1905 without interruption. 2020 format First stage: 10 teams are included in one group, playing once only against all teams in the group. The four best teams qualify to the semifinals, while the last-placed team is relegated to the Second Level. Final stage The four best teams play in a two-legged knockout tie, with the first facing the fourth and the second facing the third placed. The winner of each Semifinal qualify for the Finals, which occur in the same way. The winners of the finals are the champions. In case that two teams end tied after a round, those with the best record in the first stage qualify.
