Brian Muir (racing Driver)
Brian Muir (30 June 1931 – 11 September 1983) was an Australian racing driver. Career He achieved successful seasons competing in saloon car racing. In 1965 he finished third overall in the Australian Touring Car Championship. In 1968 he finished as runner-up in the British Saloon Car Championship driving a Ford Falcon behind fellow Australian Frank Gardner. Two years later he finished third in the BTCC, following up that result with a victory in the RAC Tourist Trophy, the longest running and one of the most prestigious prizes in international motorsport, later that year. He drove a Chevrolet Camaro to the checkered flag, making him the first Australian to claim the trophy. He finished runner-up in the European Touring Car Championship in 1973. Harald Ertl
Harald Ertl (31 August 1948 – 7 April 1982) was an Austrian racing driver and motorsport journalist. He was born in Zell am See and attended the same school as Grand Prix drivers Jochen Rindt, Helmut Marko and Niki Lauda. Ertl sported an 'Imperial'-style moustache and full beard. He worked his way through the German Formula Vee and Super Vee, and then on to Formula Three, before a successful switch to Touring Cars. During this period, he gained sufficient sponsorship to enter Formula One, where he drove with various outfits between 1975 and 1980. Ertl was one of the four drivers who helped to get Niki Lauda out of his burning Ferrari in the 1976 German Grand Prix. Ertl was killed in an aeroplane crash in 1982, when the small plane he was travelling in suffered from engine failure. Ingliston Racing Circuit
Ingliston Racing Circuit is 1.03-mile motor racing circuit that was built at the Royal Highland Showground at Ingliston, Edinburgh. The circuit was created by widening and linking the network of access roads at the venue which had previously been used exclusively as an agricultural showground. The first racing took place at Ingliston on 11 April 1965 and it fast became recognised as one of Scotland's top motorsport venues. The first race was almost 10 years before Knockhill in Fife opened in 1974 . Ingliston became infamous for its tight corners and plethora of obstacles such as trees and buildings close to the track and was therefore considered to be more hazardous than other similar facilities in the UK. Andy Rouse
Andrew Rouse (born 2 December 1947) is a British racing driver, most notably in the British Saloon Car Championship. He won the BSCC in 1975, 1983, 1984 and 1985. Andy Rouse is one of the most successful drivers ever to appear in the BSCC. His 60 overall wins in the category was the highest total by any driver for many years, until being overhauled by Jason Plato at Brands Hatch in the opening round of the 2011 season. Early career Rouse was born in Dymock, Gloucestershire. Coming from an engineering background, he was originally an apprentice with an agricultural engineering company. He had been interested in motor sport from an early age and had run self-built autograss specials in his teens and then Formula Ford.
