1972–73 Paris Saint-Germain F.C. Season
The 1972–73 season was Paris Saint-Germain's 3rd season in existence. PSG played their home league games at the Stade Municipal Georges Lefèvre in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, registering an average attendance of 679 spectators per match. The club was presided by Henri Patrelle and the team was managed by Robert Vicot. Camille Choquier was the team captain. Summary Bound by professional contracts with Paris FC, most of the club's players, including team captain Jean Djorkaeff and Bernard Guignedoux, continued playing in Division 1, while manager Pierre Phelipon departed following the expiration of his contract. Only Camille Choquier, Patrice Py, Jean-Louis Leonetti, Bernard Béréau and Jean-Louis Brost stayed with PSG in 1972–73. Ligue 1, officially known as Ligue 1 Uber Eats for sponsorship reasons, is a French professional league for men's association football clubs. Christian Quéré
Christian Quéré (30 January 1955 – 2006) was a French professional footballer who played as a defender. Career Quéré was a youth product of Entente BFN. He joined Paris Saint-Germain in 1972, at the age of 17. With PSG, he achieved two successive promotions to bring the club back to the Division 1, making a total of 9 appearances across all competitions along the way. Quéré returned to Entente BFN before the end of his career, and even captained the side. It was renamed CS Fontainebleau in 1978. He retired in 1983. Jacques "Jacky" Laposte (born 24 March 1952) is a French former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He spent his entire senior career at Paris Saint-Germain. Michel Marella (born 28 September 1946) is a French former footballer who played as a forward. He is known for playing a key part in Paris Saint-Germain's successive promotions in 1973 and 1974 to make their way back to the Division 1. Career Early career and military service Marella was born in Grasse, in the Alpes-Maritimes department of France. He played youth football with Cannes, the club he would later rejoin as a pro. Othniel Dossevi (born 13 January 1947) is a Togolese former professional Association football, footballer who played as a Midfielder#Winger, winger and Forward (association football), forward. Career Dossevi started playing football in France for Tours FC, Tours in 1963. Éric Renaut (born 11 April 1954) is a French former professional footballer who played as a centre-back and midfielder. He spent the majority of his career at Paris Saint-Germain. The Paris Saint-Germain Academy, commonly known as the PSG Academy, is the youth system of both Paris Saint-Germain F.C., Paris Saint-Germain (men's team) and Paris Saint-Germain Féminine (women's team).
