HIFK Fotboll
HIFK Fotboll or IFK Helsingfors is an association football section of HIFK, a sports club based in Helsinki, Finland. The men's football team competes in the highest tier of Finnish football, Veikkausliiga. Their home ground is the Bolt Arena. History Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna i Helsingfors was formed on 15 October 1897 by Georges Doubitsky, a 15-year-old student at the Svenska Reallyceum school in Helsinki. In those early years the club specialised in athletics, football and bandy. The football section was established in 1907, the same year that the Football Association of Finland was founded. The first football match played HIFK was at the Kaisaniemi ground on 17 May 1908 where the new team lost 1–2 to Unitas. In those early years HIFK were runners-up in the Mestaruussarja (then played as a cup competition) on 5 occasions in 1909, 1912, 1928 and 1929. Strømsgodset Toppfotball is a Norwegian professional association football, football club based in Gulskogen, Drammen, that competes in the Eliteserien (football), Eliteserien. It is the elite football section of the multi-sports club Strømsgodset IF. The multi-sports club was founded 10 February 1907, but the football team first found success in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Led by the young striker Steinar Pettersen and his team-mates, the «Rødgata Boys» (nicknamed after the street most of them lived on), Strømsgodset got promoted from the fourth tier to the top flight in just a few years. The team then went on to win the Eliteserien, top division in 1970 and the Norwegian Football Cup, Norwegian Cup in 1969, 1970, 1973. In the following decades, the club struggled more. Nordstrand Idrettsforening is a sports club in Nordstrand, Oslo, Norway. The club has sections for alpine skiing, association football and handball. It formerly had sections for orienteering, track and field and Nordic skiing. The club colors are white and blue. Rolf Nyhus (born 9 July 1942) is a Norwegian sports administrator and football referee. He was a FIFA referee from 1969 to 1985, refereeing two matches in the 1974 and 1982 World Cup qualifying as well as matches in the 1972, 1976 and 1980 European Championship qualifying In club football, he officiated UEFA competition matches such as Champions League (5), Cup Winners Cup (6) and UEFA Cup (10). He was the referee of 1971 Norwegian Football Cup Final between Rosenborg and Fredrikstad, and himself represented the club Nordstrand IF. He worked as a sales director in Bama and was secretary-general in the Association for the Promotion of Skiing. As such, he administered the Holmenkollen ski festival, the 1982 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, the 1986 Biathlon World Championships and the 1987 Winter Deaflympics and worked with the bid for the 2011 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. Ullevaal Stadion () is an all-seater football stadium located in Oslo, Norway. It is the home ground of the Norway national football team, and the site of the Norwegian Cup Final. From its opening in 1926 to 2009 it was the home ground of FK Lyn and from 1999 to 2017 was a home ground of Vålerenga IF. With a capacity of approximately 28,000, it is the largest football stadium in Norway. The national stadium is fully owned by the Football Association of Norway (NFF). The stadium opened on 26 September 1926 as the home ground for Lyn and several other local teams. Bjørn Wirkola
Bjørn Tore Wirkola (born 4 August 1943) is a Norwegian former ski jumper. Career He became World Champion in Oslo in 1966, winning both the large and normal hill competitions. The 1966 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships were also held in conjunction with the Holmenkollen ski festival, making Wirkola the Holmenkollen champion as well (a feat he would repeat the following year). Wirkola won the Four Hills Tournament from 1967 to 1969, and is still the only ski jumper who has won this tournament three years in a row. He also competed at three Winter Olympics: in 1964 he finished eleventh in the Nordic combined, in 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, he achieved his best finish with a fourth place in the individual normal hill, 0.6 points behind the bronze medalist Baldur Preiml of Austria, and the 1972 Winter Olympics, where he finished 37th in the wind-ravaged event in the Okurayama large hill. Jan Christiansen
Jan Clifford Christiansen (born 8 April 1941) is a Norwegian former football player and coach. He played for Rosenborg BK in Trondheim from 1966 to 1975, earning three league titles and one cup championship. Christiansen was capped 13 times for Norway national football team. Christiansen coached Rosenborg BK in the 1975 season. Biography Jan Christiansen came to Trondheim in 1965 as student at the Norwegian Institute of Technology. Prior to this, he had played football for his hometown team Enebakk IF and in the second division for Lillestrøm. From 1966, Christiansen played regularly as midfielder for Rosenborg. In the seasons 1967–1975 while Rosenborg played in the Norwegian top division, Christiansen played 160 matches and scored 25 goals.
