Balkans
The Balkans ( ), also known as the Balkan Peninsula, is a geographical area in southeastern Europe with various geographical and historical definitions. The region takes its name from the Balkan Mountains that stretch throughout the whole of Bulgaria. The Balkan Peninsula is bordered by the Adriatic Sea in the northwest, the Ionian Sea in the southwest, the Aegean Sea in the south, the Turkish Straits in the east, and the Black Sea in the northeast. Eskişehir ( , ; from "old" and "city") is a city in northwestern Turkey and the capital of the Eskişehir Province. The urban population of the city is 898,369 with a metropolitan population of 797,708. Sabah Bizi
Sabah Bizi (born 13 November 1946) is an Albanian retired footballer who played for Vllaznia Shkodër and Partizani Tirana as well as the Albania national team. Club career A Vllaznia club legend, Bizi won three league titles with the club during their most successful period in the 1970s, when he played alongside Ramazan Rragami among others, and also one with Partizani. When he joined the military, he was forced to play for army club Partizani. After three years in the army, he rejoined Vllaznia against the wishes of Partizani, At the time, one of the communist regime's top leaders visited Shkodër to see how a hydroelectric power station was being built and the workers involved in the construction demanded the return of Bizi to Vllaznia on condition that they complete the hydropower plant before the deadline. Craiova
Craiova (, also , ), is Romania's 6th Cities in Romania, largest city and capital of Dolj County, and situated near the east bank of the river Jiu River, Jiu in central Oltenia. It is a longstanding political center, and is located at approximately equal distances from the Southern Carpathians (north) and the Danube, River Danube (south). Craiova is the chief commercial city west of Bucharest and the most important city of Oltenia. Stadionul Ion Oblemenco (1967)
Ion Oblemenco Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium in Craiova, Romania. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home ground of Universitatea Craiova. The stadium used to hold up to 25,252 people before it was demolished. The stadium was entirely demolished and was replaced by an all-seater that was opened in November 2017. History The stadium was opened on 29 October 1967 with national teams of Romania and Poland scoring 2 goals each and was originally named Central Stadium. It hosted many memorable matches during the Craiova Maxima era such as the 1981–82 European Cup Quarterfinal against Bayern Munich and the 1982–83 UEFA Cup Semifinal against Benfica. Tirana
Tirana ( , ; aln, Tirona) is the capital and largest city of Albania. Selman Stërmasi Stadium
The Selman Stërmasi Stadium ( sq, Stadiumi Selman Stërmasi) is a multi-purpose stadium in Tirana, Albania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of KF Tirana. The stadium holds 9,500 people (all seated). It is named after Selman Stërmasi, one of KF Tirana's best players of all time. The stadium was also used by Dinamo and Partizani until 2010, however, due to failure to cooperate on the admittance fees, these teams were not allowed to use the stadium any further. Panajot Pano
Panajot Thoma Pano ( el, Παναγιώτης Θωμάς Πάνου, Panayiotis Thomas Panou; 7 March 1939 – 19 January 2010) was an Albanian football player. He started his career as a goalkeeper in the 17 Nëntori Tirana youth academy, but later became the most prolific centre-forward of their arch-rivals, Partizani Tirana. During his eighteen-year career he played 24 matches as part of the Albania national team and was awarded the Albanian UEFA Jubilee Award. Due to his skills and abilities, Pano earned the nickname "The little Puskás" by sports commentators.
