Kansas's 1st congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Kansas. Commonly known as "The Big First", the district encompasses all or part of 64 counties in western and northern Kansas (more than half of the state), making it the seventh-largest district in the nation that does not cover an entire state. Located within the district are Manhattan, Salina, Dodge City, Emporia, Garden City, Hays, Hutchinson and Lawrence. James Kenneth Logan (August 21, 1929 – September 8, 2018) was a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
