1953 Iraqi Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Iraq on 17 January 1953 to elect the members of the Chamber of Deputies of Iraq, Chamber of Deputies. The result was a victory for the Constitutional Union Party (Iraq), Constitutional Union Party, which won 67 of the 135 seats. The United Popular Front ( ar, الجبهة الشعبية المتحدة, ''al-Jabha al-Sha'biya al-Mutahida'') was an Iraqi political party. The party was founded in April 1951.
