Swedish Football Division 2
Division 2 is the fourth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 84 Swedish football teams. Division 2 had status as the official second level from 1928 to 1986 but was replaced by Division 1 in 1987. It then had status as the official third level until 2005 but was replaced once again by the recreated Division 1 in 2006. Overview In the Division, there are 84 clubs which are divided in six groups of 14 teams each representing a geographical area. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October) each club plays the others twice, once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents, for a total of 26 games. At the end of each season the two lowest placed teams of each group are relegated to Division 3 and the twelve winning teams from the twelve Division 3 leagues are promoted in their place while the third lowest placed teams in the Division 2 leagues plays promotion/relegation play-offs against the twelve second placed te ... BK Derby
BK Derby is a Swedish sports club located in Linköping, Sweden. It now only active in football club but was previously involved in bandy and other sports. The club was formed on 15 April 1912. The bandy department has formed a club of its own, Derby/Linköping BK, but the two clubs have an alliance and share the same logo and colours. Background The club has played one season in the highest Swedish league, Allsvenskan, in 1977. The club then merged with IF Saab and formed Linköpings FF in 1981. The club was recreated as BK Derby again in 1984 and in 2003 merged with BK Wolfram. The club then played two seasons under the name BK Derby/Wolfram, but soon changed back to the original name. Bollklubben Häcken, more commonly known as BK Häcken or simply Häcken (), is a Swedish professional association football, football club based in Gothenburg. Råå IF is a Swedish or Scanian football club located in Råå, a fishing village at Öresund, that grew to be one of Scandinavia's largest in the late 1800's, south of Helsingborg. They became the Swedish Cup champions in 1948, and the vice champions of the highest league level 1950-51. Background ''Råå Idrottsförening (RIF)'' is a Swedish or Scanian sports club that was established on 25 March 1921 by a group of high school students in a basement in the city district of Helsingborg, Tågaborg. Örgryte Idrottssällskap, commonly referred to as Örgryte IS, Örgryte () or (especially locally) ÖIS or Öis, is a Swedish sports club based in Gothenburg. Höganäs BK
Höganäs BK is a Swedish football club located in Höganäs in Skåne County. Background Höganäs Bollklubb were founded in 1913 and for many years before and after the Second World War played in Division 2, which at that time was the second tier of Swedish football. In the more recent decades Höganäs BK has participated mainly in the middle and lower divisions of the Swedish football league system. The cradle of Scanian football is in Kullen, as the rector Lars Hallén took the sport to Scania from Zealand together with Danish miners, and Scania's representatives in the Swedish football championship therefore used to be Väsby FK during the first years.
